On May 25-27, leaders of women initiative groups gathered in Istanbul. Training on "Evidence-based Advocacy" was held for them. Women from different regions and communities were involved in the work process. They practically participate in the advocacy of various problems, that's why the training was especially interesting for them. The participants reviewed the tree of problems, improved their knowledge about goals, tasks, formulation of expected results, types of advocacy and related issues. They selected priority issues from the problems in their community and worked in groups. They independently drew up a sample advocacy plan and showed presentations. During the training, the leaders of the initiative groups acquired new knowledge, skills, experience, got to know each other better and drafted plans for future.

Members of both women initiative groups of Khoni spoke about the problems identified as a result of the research. They also selected the issues to be resolved at the local level and discussed the details of the advocacy plan. Say "no" to violence! - During 2 months, with small scenes of the forum-theater the young people will try to show the audience the seriousness of the problem and make them to think about the negative consequences of violence. During the May meeting, together with the project assistant, they once again discussed planned activities and developed a plan. The participants also distributed their duties equally.

From May the members of Tskaltubo youth group start implementing mini-projects within the grant competition. Working meetings were held with both groups. The participants discussed organizational issues and distributed functions. The mentioned work will contribute to the successful implementation of mini-projects. The members of the women initiative group reviewed the results of the conducted research and identified various problems. Based on these problems, the group members worked on an advocacy plan.

As a result of the research "Assessment of the human security quality and gender needs of the population", the women discussed the advocacy of the problems identified in the municipality. The meeting was held on May 17, at the office of the Fund "Sukhumi". Advocacy plan will be developed, deadlines will be drafted and responsible persons will be assigned. Kutaisi youth club also works actively. The members are preparing to implement a mini-project. They will talk about bullying and its forms. Assessment of the quality of human security and gender needs of the population is a systematized report based on quantitative and qualitative research conducted in six municipalities.

The main goal of the research was to assess the attitude of various groups of society towards human security issues in the fields of public and personal security.

The recommendations developed on the basis of the research will be used for the advocacy campaigns in terms of human security in Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Zugdidi, Tsalenjikha and Senaki municipalities.

The women initiative group of the village Pakhulani - Tsalenjikha municipality held another meeting. The topic of their research was the assessment of the quality of human security and gender needs of the population in Zugdidi municipality. The results will be the basis of the next work process, which includes the development of an advocacy plan. During the meeting, they also talked about the topic: "Local cooperation for a social environment focused on children and families". The representatives of the Social and Children's Department of the City Hall informed the participants of the meeting about social and health care programs and the specifics of the work of the Children's Department.

Everyone should take their own responsibility - plant a tree, green the environment, take care of nature - this was the aim of the campaign dedicated to the week of the Day of Earth. Kutaisi Youth Club of the Women Fund "Sukhumi", in cooperation with Kutaisi Public Schools #32 named after Avtandil Dekanoidze and Public Schools #6 of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia named after Zhiuli Shartava, organized a greening campaign. Pupils, together with the teacher Lela Bregadze, planted Georgian walnut seedlings in the school yard and in the yard of the rehabilitation center of the Fund “Sukhumi”. Families residing in the rehabilitation center also participated in the event.

What does the process of problem advocacy mean and how important is it to be based on evidence - the participants heard information about these issues. On the same day, a meeting with members of the youth group was held in Senaki. The participants worked on the plan of project activities. The persons responsible for the organizational issues were determined and the functions and duties were distributed.

Didinedzi Youth Club works on the activities planned by the project. The goal of the project is to create a healthy inclusive environment for pupils with special needs. It is necessary to raise awareness in the school community (teacher, pupil, parent), which will help to develop and establish the correct communication methods. Using the forum theater method, performances will be shown, a discussion will be held regarding the existing problem and its solution. As for Didinedzi women initiative group, they conducted research on the topic - assessment of the quality of human security and gender needs of the population in Zugdidi municipality. As a result, the problems that are relevant in the community were highlighted. An advocacy plan will be developed for their solution.
