Problems of health, education, employment and security, faulty infrastructure, lack of access to the Internet are issues that IDPs are concerned about and that can be addressed by the inclusion of state structures.
Member of the Parliament of Georgia Teona Akubardia and UN Women's consultant Mako Avaliani met with IDP women from Abkhazia and women living in the villages located near the occupation line.
The meeting, which was held in Zugdidi, was attended by five representatives of Zugdidi and Senak initiative groups of the Women Fund "Sukhumi". They are active participants in the coalition project "Women and youth localizing the women, peace and security agenda".

The first network working meeting was held in Kutaisi within the framework of the project "Women and Youth Localizing the Women, Peace and Security Agenda".
Three organizations participating in the coalition project - the Association of IDP Women "Consent", the Women Fund "Sukhumi" and the Women Information Center - from different regions gathered women activists – conflict - affected women and IDP women living in settlements and presented them the fourth action plan for the implementation of the UN Resolutions "Women, Peace, Security".
During the meeting, the need to involve women in the peace process was emphasized and the possibilities of solving the existing challenges in this direction were discussed.
Women were informed about the importance and goals of networks and coalitions. They discussed what an effective and sustainable women's network should look like. The participants of the meeting decided to continue cooperation both face-to-face and online.

- Why it was necessary to develop UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security? What does this mean and what issues are regulated?
- The National Action Plan, which is a government tool for necessary, consolidated and coordinated actions to implement the global agenda.
- Why is it important to localize the National Action Plan at the local level? Inclusion of local government officials and other leading local actors in these processes to integrate Resolution 1325 into community development plans.
- How should local problems be reflected in the municipal budget? What resources and capabilities are needed for this?
These issues were discussed at the workshop, which was attended by representatives of local governments and women leaders from Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Senaki and Zugdidi municipalities.
An online meeting on the topic “The process and stages of advocacy of problems at the local level” was held using the Zoom platform.
The meeting was attended by members of the women's network established in the municipalities of Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Zugdidi and Senaki, as well as representatives of donor and partner organizations.
The members of the network discussed in detail the dynamics of the problems taken for advocacy by the "one window" method - at what stage they are and what results they receive. They also spoke about the problems identified within the research, which were presented to local governments for consideration in the budgets.
The meeting turned out to be the best platform for participants to exchange information, share their experiences and talk about existing challenges.

Women's networks organized in 5 municipalities of Western Georgia (Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Senaki, Zugdidi) chose topical issues and started the advocacy process on “one window principle”.
This is told by the women participating in the project and representatives of local government who participated in the meeting. They emphasize the importance of the dialogue format for problem solution.

During the meeting of Senaki women initiative group, the participants got acquainted with the results of the research. The research outlined the social profile of the IDP settlements and presented the current issues that cause special discomfort to the population.
Out of the named problems, the participants selected the most urgent problem, which they will try to advocate with the local self-government.

During the online information meeting, the representatives of Khoni Women's Network discussed the research document conducted within the framework of the project.
Particular attention was paid to the discussion of the data, which show the problems of the IDP settlement of Khoni municipality.
Priority problems were identified at the meeting, advocacy of which will be started by the group together with the local self-government.

As a result of the research carried out within the framework of the project, the representatives of Zugdidi Women's Network have identified the priority problems that will be submitted to the local government in order to advocate them.
During the online information meeting, the IDP women initiative group of Zugdidi discussed exactly these problems. Their solution will be good for displaced women and young people, as well as for every resident of the municipality.

Tskaltubo women initiative group discussed the results of the research conducted in the IDP settlements during the ordinary meeting.
The problems that are particularly relevant for IDPs and solution of which is particularly important for them have been identified.
A women's group was selected, which will advocate the identified problem. Local self-government will be actively involved in the process.

Discussion of the problem of Abkhazeti Street in the IDP settlement was held using the "one window" principle in Tskaltubo Municipality.
As a result of the needs research of the problem of the damaged roof of residential buildings VII-VIII was chosen for advocacy.
IDPs from Abkhazia, representatives of the Government of the Abkhazian Autonomous Republic in Imereti region, representatives of Tskalutbo City Hall, the Gender Equality Council and all departments whose competence includes effective influence on the problem, were the participants of this format.
During the meeting, ways to resolve the issue were shown. Other problems were also identified: there is no kindergarten, the basements are flooded, the yard is polluted – in the near future, representatives of various departments will take responsibility to solve these problems.
The participants of the meeting noted the effectiveness of the meeting held by the "one window" principle.
