The Women's Initiative Group of Khurcha is actively working on early prevention of conflicts existing in society. Khurcha (Zugdidi municipality), as a village located near the conflict line, is particularly sensitive in terms of the development of social conflicts.

Through informational meetings and advocacy of problems, the initiative group tries to identify conflict situations and achieve prevention at an early stage. The process of advocating problems is carried out in cooperation with local government structures. 

The problems existing in the society that concern the safety of women in parallel contain the risks of conflict development. The women's initiative group of Tskaltubo is actively working to advocate for such problems in order to reduce the risks of conflict development.

With this aim, planned informational meetings were held in May with various groups. Women especially feel the danger of conflict, so the information they received about community issues is very important. After diagnosing conflicts, the group is working on early conflict prevention.

Kutaisi Women’s Initiative Group held informational meetings in different communities. The moderator explained what is the connection between unresolved problems and development of conflict, and how important is their solution at an early stage.

The meeting participants identified social and infrastructural problems that are relevant in their village, and contain the risks of conflict development.

The following problems were highlighted: faulty drainage system and water in the basement, extra noise from the company, located near the settlement, the problem of the roof. After analyzing the problems, the response will begin.

Members of Kutaisi Women's Initiative Group actively conduct informational meetings. The public is informed on the following issues: social problems and conflicts, early prevention of conflicts using the GREWS elements(Gender Responsive Early Warning System), the role of civil society.

These meetings are important in terms of informing. Participants analyze that their problems may cause conflicts, therefore, timely inclusion and reduction of conflict risk is necessary.

In parallel with the information, the Women's Initiative Group, together with the local authorities, is working on solving the identified problems.
