The Working Group of Batumi Gender Advisory Council (GAC) and the Fund "Sukhumi" held an information meeting with representatives of the City Council and the local administration of Kobuleti. The topic of conversation concerned the new legislative initiatives, for which the local authorities conduct institutionalization of the GAC, as well as increasing the powers of government to respond to cases of domestic violence.
At the meeting it was said that it is quite a hot topic in the municipalities. There were identified the main challenges and outlined plans for future cooperation - especially in rural areas of the municipality with the aim of informing society, women's groups, as well as the activation of youth.
