Round table - meetings, discussions or advocacy of certain problems. Round table - this type of activity also plays an informational and propagandistic role and serves as a tool for developing concrete solutions.

"Prevention of violence and protection of violence victim"  - this was the topic of round table, held in Sakrebulo of Senaki municipality.

The goal of the dialogue is to define the ways of social cooperation. The meeting participants – referral subjects, worked in this direction. As a result of group work, the representatives of local government, the police, the Social Services Agency, educational and medical institutions, identified the factors that impede and facilitate coordination, as well as formulated theses for the strategy of violence prevention - with the active inclusion of state and public institutions.

Fund "Sukhumi" organized a round table on: "Prevention of violence and protection of violence victim" in Sakrebulo of Tskaltubo municipality.

Local representatives of referral subjects gathered in frames of round table - representatives of local government, criminal and patrol police,agency of social services, educational and medical institutions.

It was emphasized that the strategy for violence prevention is to respond to challenges with the participation of state and public institutions.

As a result of group work, there were identified the factors that hinder and facilitate coordination at the local level and ways to improve it.

On March 5, the Fund “Sukhumi” organized a round table with the medical staff of the clinic “Unicalmed”. Participants were provided with information on the legislative mechanisms for the elimination of violence, on the powers and duties of the medical staff, envisaged by the law. They got acquainted with the results of a research conducted by the Fund "Sukhumi" with medical personnel; a brochure issued by an organization that familiarizes industry professionals with primary information on how violence should be identified, screening, with whom the medical staff should have coordination in order to effectively respond to violence.

Interesting discussions once again revealed the obstacles: the nondisclosure of information about the violence on the part of patients; lack of information; the issue of physical and psychological safety of the doctor; ignoring the duties from the side of police, etc.

The conversation touched the issue of problem solution. Following suggestions were announced: staff education, improvement of coordination with referral subjects, introduction of a qualified psychologist in clinics.

Fund "Sukhumi" held a round table in Kkutaisi - clinic №4. Legal aspects of eradicating violence; the results of a research conducted with medical staff in 9 municipalities of Western Georgia; the publication “The role of medical staff in violence prevention” - representatives of the Fund “Sukhumi” spoke on these issues.

The doctors - participants of the round table voiced their problems at the end of the meeting: lack of time in communication with the patients, gaps in the laws, the safety of the doctor and much more. Of course, there was a desire for cooperation in terms of violence prevention and assistance to the victim. With this aim, a Memorandum was signed between the medical institution and the Fund "Sukhumi".

A round table was held in the Fund “Sukhumi” the topic of which was “Increasing the role of medical staff in identifying violence and prospects for improving the quality of cooperation between referral subjects”.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the medical sphere, the prosecutor's office, the city department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the City Hall, NGOs, social workers, lawyers, teachers. How the medical staff is involved in identifying the facts of violence, what responsibilities they have and in what ways active participation in the prevention of violence and assistance to the victim is possible - the main accent was made to these issues. Participants talked about the gaps in the process of work of different subjects. There were suggested the proposals to increase the role of medical staff and improve the quality of cooperation between referral actors.

The activity was held in frames of the project "Strengthening the medical staff to protect victims of domestic violence."

A round table discussion on the topic “Introducing gender approaches in local policy” was held by Fund “Sukhumi” in the meeting room of Kutaisi City Council (Sakrebulo). Participants of the meeting were representatives of different services of local self-government, members of the Gender Equality Council.

A Strategic guidance on local gender policy, elaborated by Fund “Sukhumi”, was presented at the meeting. Participants discussed how, through which methods gender approaches should be introduced in Municipalities, what is gender audit and gender budgeting. 

Attendees mentioned, that gender approaches have already been introduced in the municipality and talked about an effective work of the Gender Equality Council.

The round table was held within the framework of the project "Learning from the experience of Visegrad 4 to advocate for equal, inclusive and democratic local governance.

A round table discussion on the topic “Introducing gender approaches in local policy (gender mainstreaming), was held by Fund “Sukhumi” in the meeting room of Khoni Municipal Council (Sakrebulo).

Members of the Gender Equality Council, representatives of local self-government and non-governmental organizations attended the meeting.

A Strategic guidance on local gender policy, elaborated by Fund “Sukhumi”, was presented at the meeting. The talk focused on the questions – what is necessary for the introduction of gender approaches in municipalities, what does gender budgeting means and why is it necessary.

Attendees stressed that the municipality has good prerequisites for working in this direction: the local social strategy and action plan. The tendency to implement socially sensitive programs, focus on the practice of identifying needs, long-term services that meet needs of vulnerable groups and ensure citizens’ involvement - these are the issues that are the cornerstone of gender-oriented policies.

Discussions on the "introducing gender approaches at the local level", organized by the Fund "Sukhumi", were held in the hall of the Vani Municipality Sakrebulo (Municipal Council). The representatives of the legislative and executive governments of the local municipality and the members of the Gender Equality Council attended the meeting.

The talk mainly focused on the manual for gender strategies at the local level, developed by the Fund "Sukhumi"; In particular, how to introduce gender mainstreaming at the local level, what should the people working in this field pay attention to, what is gender budgeting and why it matters.

The participants of the discussion stated that the formation of gender policy in the municipality is at the initial stage, therefore, they would continue to actively cooperate with the Fund "Sukhumi" in this regard.

A round table was held on the topic "introducing gender approaches at the local level", organized by the Fund "Sukhumi" in the conference hall of the City Hall of Tskaltubo Municipality. The representatives of the legislative and executive governments of the local municipality and the members of the Gender Equality Council attended the meeting.

The talk mainly focused on the manual for gender strategies at the local level, developed by the Fund "Sukhumi". Klara Kozlova, an expert from the Czech Republic took part in the round table meeting. She spoke about gender audit and the experience existing in the Czech Republic in this regard.

The City Mayor and the Chairperson of Sakrebulo (the City Council) expressed their readiness to cooperate with the Fund "Sukhumi" in order to establish gender approaches in the municipality.

On March 9, Women Support Center of Poti organized round table devoted to the week of women solidarity in conference hall of Sakrebulo.
Activists of the WSCs and invited guests took active part in the work of round table.
They discussed an issue of women solidarity. Especially interesting was conversation about a work of Women Support Center and there was a discussion on actual gender problems.
