Online meetings were held with youth clubs of the public schools in the villages Menji (Senaki municipality), Ganmukhuri (Zugdidi municipality) and Ozurgeti.

The topic of discussion was tolerance, which is quite relevant in a pandemic - and today there is a lack of understanding and love. The students prepared and posted three videos on the Facebook page of the Fund “Sukhumi” on the topic of the pandemic. This is the result of their initiative and active group work.

On April 7, 8 and 10, online meetings were held with members of conflict management groups of public schools in the village Supsa (Lanchkhuti municipality), Dvabzu (Ozurgeti municipality) and Teklati (Senaki municipality).

The students, together with the trainer, discussed the topic “Conflict Escalation”. They gave concrete examples from their lives. Then they started doing homework: video appeals about conflicts and COVID19, essays, drawings ... Some works have already been published on the Facebook page of the Fund “Sukhumi”.

It should be noted that the South Caucasus Regional Peace building Platform thanked our organization for working with schoolchildren in a pandemic situation. Its Facebook page says: We are pleased that in this situation our partner organization, the Cultural - Humanitarian Fund “Sukhumi” continues online seminars on conflict management. On April 2, 4 and 6, on-line meetings were held with the members of conflict management groups in the school - Gymnasium of Poti, schools of the village Anaklia (Zugdidi municipality) and the village Pakhulani (Tsalenjikha municipality).

Together with the students, the topic of “conflict escalation” was discussed, and stories were sent to the messenger groups, which presented examples of conflict escalation.

On April 7, conflict expert of the Fund “Sukhumi” posted another video on conflict escalating on a Facebook page.

The students received the task, to record a video messages on the issues of conflict and covid-19, as well as to write an essay, make drawings ... their work has already appeared on the Facebook page of the Fund “Sukhumi” and the audience read them with interest.

Tolerance, as a feeling — this issue was discussed in the Youth Clubs of Public Schools of Nayui96evi (Samtredia Municipality), Lia (Tsalenjikha Municipality) and Lanchkhuti. Based on today's situation, the meetings were held via the internet. In this space, a lively inclusion of children, their interest and activity was felt...They planned to continue the discussion on the topic of tolerance in a social network.

Meetings with Youth clubs were held in a new, unusual, but interesting format.

Online meetings were carried out with members of the youth clubs of the schools of Tskhemliskhidi (Ozurgeti municipality), Tsalenjikha and Poti.

At first they talked about the current situation. It was noted that everyone should stay at home and follow relevant recommendations in order to contribute to prevention.

The meetings, of course discussed the planned issues related to domestic violence and the development of conflicts. Despite the online format, inclusion was active, and the discussion was particularly interesting.

Online meetings continue. This time, the meetings were held with members of the conflict management groups of the schools of Dzevri (Terjola municipality), Teklati (Senaki municipality), Anaklia (Zugdidi municipality). The participants actively participated in the work. They watched and liked the video lesson. They shared this lesson on their Facebook pages: Students also wrote essays that were posted on the Facebook page of the Fund “Sukhumi”.

According to them, it’s good that the work continues - now it is especially necessary to take care of conflict management, because, in difficult days, conflict situations are very frequent.

The students express their hope that the situation will soon change for the better, and the workshops on conflict resolution will be renewed.

On-line meetings were held with active members of the conflict management groups of the schools of Pakhulani (Tsalenjikha Municipality), Dvabzu (Ozurgeti Municipality), Supsa (Lanchkhuti Municipality) and Poti.

Participants liked the video posted on the Facebook page of the Fund “Sukhumi”. They learned about the reasons of conflict and expressed their thoughts. A video lesson will be held again next month, although everyone hopes they will meet soon.

Members of conflict management groups from the schools of Supsa (Lanchkhuti municipality), Teklati (Senaki municipality) and Anaklia (Zugdidi municipality) dedicated their work to the topic of pandemia. The teenagers supported the recommendations of the World Health Organization, the main of which is: Stay home!

Work with boys in March is carried out in a new format. Project Assistant Beka Potskhveria notes:

- We actively started on-line lectures. A video review was prepared and posted on the Facebook page of the Fund “Sukhumi”, in which they drew attention to the path that women have passed to this day, as well as what they are doing to achieve gender balance. The video had many responses. Comments were expressed not only by boys, but also by women.

In addition to online meetings and video conversations in March, the boys themselves were especially active. A student of the school of the village Siktarva (Terjola municipality) Gigi Jikidze prepared a video clip. A student from Senaki draw a picture on the topic of equality, several boys wrote sketches regarding the negative effects of violence.

Based on the situation in the country, the Fund "Sukhumi" continues active work on-line. Online is work is held with the boys. The  trainer of the Fund contacted students who have already started a six-month course - from schools of the municipalities of Terjola, Zugdidi, Tsalenjikha, Kutaisi, Senaki, Poti and Lanchkhuti. There were group and individual on-line meetings. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to communicate via the Internet, so the trainer spoke with some of the guys via the phone.

The topic of March is gender roles. During the conversation, there were discussed the issues like: stereotypes spread in society, as well as the role of the boys themselves.
