On January 25, Kutaisi hosted the Club of Women-Voters, where was invited the deputy chief of the City Hall administration Service Pikria Khachapuridze. The guest familiarized members of the Club with the changes in local government law, which envisage the prevention of domestic violence, protection and assistance to victims of violence.

The conversation also touched the criteria of providing social housing. Members of the Club of Women-Voters submitted their recommendations.

In schools №30 of Kutaisi, village Mendzhi (Senaki municipality) and village Koki (Zugdidi Municipality) there were held informational meetings of youth clubs.

Members with interest discussed the topic of the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict. They talked about ways to resolve the conflict, dialogue with peers, about implementation of peacekeeping projects.

Especially active were the pupils of Koki school. Some of them are IDPs from Abkhazia, they often go to their homes and really know what are the results of the conflict.

Interesting questions were raised, the participants tried to answer them during meetings. Meetings have shown that it is necessary to discuss these topics with young people, as they create the future of the country.

February meetings with young people were devoted to actual topic for them children's rights and the rights of parents. Information meetings of youth clubs were held in Tskhaltubo, Senaki and Koki (Zugdidi Municipality).

Students brought many examples of life, social networks. They have focused on the problems of the school, the relationship of teachers to them. Also we talked about the rights of parents and their relationship to the teachers.

"To know the law – is not the main thing. The main is to use them, and these meetings contribute to the formation of such skills, "- said one of the participants.

In Sakrebulo of Khoni municipality there was held a meeting of the club of women voters. The participants shared information about results of the second round of 2016 parliament elections, about planning activities in frames of 16 day campaign, about identifying and advocacy of local problems.

It was mentioned that on November 25, it is necessary to participate in the action against violence – thus larger scale of society will get aware of problem.

On the ordinary meeting of Ozurgeti VWC member of GAC – Nino Nikolaishvili spoke about a work of last months. She mentioned that gender policy is established in the city, in which the special contribution was from the side of the Club of Voter Women.
The club members participate in implementation of gender projects, but they decided to be more active in collaboration with local self- government. It was planned to conduct joint activities, which the club will submit to the state structures.

In December in all 6 youth clubs (Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Poti, Senaki, koki) informational meetings began with conversation about campaign of 16 active days. In the second part of the meeting there was held a discussion of the main issue – advocacy of the gender policy and its importance in the issues of violence prevention. Discussion of advocacy strategy for young people was interesting. They put questions, spoke about their problems and what would they change around them. Activity of the youth in the discussions showed activity of the issue.

The meeting of the club of voter women of Senaki was attended by the deputy of governmor (head of municipality administration) Nato Pularia and deputies of Sakrebulo, members of the GAC – Nanan Alania and Eliso Tsaguria.

The women spoke about different actual problems of the city and villages of municipality.

Methodist of the kindergarten of the village Teklati thanked the deputies of Sakrebulo for transferring 5 tables for the upper grades. It was promised at a previous meeting of the club.

For the given moment other problems are advocated.

The ordinary meeting of the Club of Voter Women of Senaki was attended by the ative members of the club, also the members of Senaki Municipality Sakrebulo and Gender Advisory Council. The meeting raised several problems of road rehabilitation on Mother Street, gasification of several districts of the city, also absence of sewage system. Journalist Tako Arziani raised the issue of single assistance for socially unprotected families.
The Club members will try their best in envisaging elaborated suggestions in city budget.
Members of Sakrebulo – Dinara Khukhua mentioned that the issues are actual and they will be discussed and solved.

Cooperation of the club with political parties operating in the municipality and the development of recommendations and initiatives for submission to political parties - these were the main topics of the meeting of the Club of Voter Women in Senaki, which was held in the hall of Sakrebulo.
The meeting was attended by deputies of the City Council - Chairman of the Gender Advisory Council (GAC) Nana Alania and the members of GAC - Inga Kardava.
There were mentioned the issues of economic empowerment of women, i.e, the need to organize special training courses for women to improve their skills in small businesses, professional retraining, and assistance of single mothers and the development of home-care programs.
The package of recommendations will be gradually supplemented and edited. The final version will be presented to the political parties in Georgia.
On the same day there was a meeting of representatives of Fund "Sukhumi" with representatives of the regional organization of one political party.
Representatives of the Fund told party members about activities of the women's organization, about the aims and objectives of the project and plans for cooperation aimed at supporting women's initiatives and raising the role of women in the political sphere.

During the meeting of Senaki VWC it was mentioned that one of the problems was solved (young widow, mother of two teenagers was given social assistance).
December meeting was held in frames of the campaign of 16 active days against violence towards the women. The meeting was attended by the lawyer – George Sigua. The conversation touched the Georgian law on “prevention of domestic violence, assistance and protection of victims”. The attention was paid to the referral mechanisms, changes, which were interesting and necessary for everyone.
