Mass - media. This category gives information about meetings with representatives of media, TV and Radio programs and articles prepared in frames of the projects of the Fund "Sukhumi".

Members of Ozurgeti Gender Advisory Council spoke about activities of the GAC on the talsk-show prepared by the fund “Sukhumi” in TV Company “Guria”.
“We are glad that fund “Sukhumi” chose Ozurgeti as target town. We consider that the project is successful step in Ozurgeti reality. We may say that the door of our office never closes and factually we have the role of mediator among citizens and government” – was said.
It was underlined that successful activity of the council mostly depended on a good will of state, which supported every initiative for this period. It was first of all obvious in the project, supported by them, which was ended by creation of youth Sakrebulo and youth gender council.
The council members touched initiatives, which were envisaged by recommendations of the council in 2015 budget. Among them – increase of social allowance, motivation of successful students and their schools. They spoke about future plans, which will promote to establishment of more active gender policy.

“We spoke about gender policy in the region and overviewed activities of Batumi GAC”, - it was conclusion of the TV show.
The guest of the program – deputy of Batumi GAC chairperson, member of Sakrebulo Ramaz Surmanidze and Council member, head of school No2 – Mirza Abashidze mentioned that sustainability of the project depends on close connection with society.
It was mentioned that close collaboration with local government is the basis of numerous problem solution. The proof of it is recommendations envisaged in the local budget, also financing very important project for the youth, which will promote to establishment of non-violent awareness with innovative method of the forum-theatre.

In the program of TV “Egrisi” – Senaki, members of Senaki GAC talked about gender policy and evaluated a two – year work of the GAC.
It was said that the first tangible result was creation of youth and gender department in the local government, for which small budget was allocated. Number of recommendations were named, which were envisaged by the local government, especially regarding the youth.
The GAC members mentioned that from the government side, an expression of confidence were the projects that were financed and successfully implemented. They also noted cooperation with the media, ensuring the dissemination of information about the project and its popularization.
The story says that the GAC as intermediary body between the community and local authorities, feels high sense of responsibility. A great desire of its members is to reflect gender needs, which have emerged as a result of a recent research in the budget of the next year.

TV program, past in the air of TV "Guria" covers various aspects of Ozurgeti Gender Advisory Council, a new perspective of the work with youth; identification of citizens needs and their advocacy and lobbying events; the most important thing - one of the visual results of the GAC: GAC member Nia Mekvabishvili was appointed as an assistant of the attorney (head of municipality administration) on gender issues. The story in TV Company “Adjara” concerns the problem of domestic violence and the ways of solution. The programs shares opinions of law protectors and members of Batumi GAC.
As the story tells, Batumi GAC works for year and a half and pays great attention to the problem of domestic violence.
How alarming is the statistic, how the council tries to show actuality of the problem through cooperation with state structures and public sector, relevant reaction, victim protection – these are the issues, which are main in discussion with council members, City Hall representatives and gender advisors of Sakrebulo.

In May the newspaper “Guria News” published an article about the company of recycling the lead. Newspapers "Guriis Moambe", "Guria News", "Alioni" made information about the discharge of inert materials from the river Bzhuzhi. These problems cause a danger for the population. It was recorded in the report of a lawyer of Ozurgeti Gender Advisory Council (GAC), it was noted at the meeting of GAC.

The work carried out in Ozurgeti is actively supported by the journalists and they are involved in solving urgent problems. It was discussed at the traditional informational meeting with journalists, which was held in Gender media center.

The program tells about the project of Senaki Gender Advisory Council (GAC) "Prevention of domestic violence in Senaki municipality", which is funded by the Fund "Sukhumi" and the local government. The project is implemented in the villages of Senaki municipality and it includes members of the GAC. According to them, workshops conducted with different groups of society are very important for the promotion of gender education and reduction of domestic violence.

Respondents of the program touched a research conducted by the Gender Advisory Council of Senaki, talked about his goals, obtained results, there were identified issues that were mentioned as vital by the women, youth, persons with disabilities and other civic groups. They expressed the hope that the recommendations received after the analysis of the study will be taken into account in the budget of self-government of Senaki and the basis for this is  the experience of previous years.

From January implementation of the new project: “strengthening of women’s rights in Western Georgia” began.
In frames of the project monthly electronic informational bulletin is issued, which summarizes activities during a month, number of participants and achieved results.
According the third issue of the bulletin, in March 82 activities were held in January, with participation of 995 people.
Definite changes were achieved and lives of some women were changed.

Today, in the program "The main theme of portal "Guriis Moambe" hosted to chairman of Ozurgeti Gender Advisory Council (GAC) Lela Natsvaladze and deputy Lali Sichinava. They evaluated the results of three years of work.

Guests of the program stressed the importance of the projects, which in recent years have caused increasing awareness of society on gender issues and the growing interest.

Leaders of GAC named their visit card - a project "Cancer is not a death sentence."

There was a talk about the close cooperation between the regions and the role of local authorities in the implementation of various projects. As Lela Natsvaladze noted, on the account of the GAC there are 9 implemented projects. In the future, work will continue in that direction, what needs will be identified in cooperation with the community.

The story of TV Company “Rioni” shows the importance of gender approach in pre-school period.
This is a story about the only men – head of kindergarten – Zaal Khonelidze an dit is an exception in our reality.
The personnel mention that there was a skeptic approach towards the new head, but soon he gained love and respect from side of the pupils.
“Good manager, good teacher, educated head” – this is his characteristics from the side of colleagues and parents (Zaal is a member of the club “who, when, where”).
“Pleasant, but very responsible”, this is how he characterizes Kutaisi, kindergarten No1.
