Traditionally in this year solidarity was expressed by the citizens of Senaki to the campaign of “16 active days against gender violence”.
The action was attended by the activists of the Women Support Centers, members of Gender Advisory Council, youth club and the Club of Women Voters. In such a way they supported the slogan of campaign “From Peace in Homes – to Peace in the World”.
The action of protest was held in the center of Zugdidi. It was attended by the activists of the Women Support Center of Khurcha/Koki, members of the youth club and the club of women voters.
They joined the actions held in 8 cities of Western Georgia and expressed solidarity to the international campaign of “16 active days against gender violence”.
Recently, Fund "Sukhumi" is collaborating with the charitable foundation "Karritas". With the support of the Italian missionary Loredana Monette there were held several charitable actions for beneficiaries of fund "Sukhumi" WSCs.
On September21, the International Day of Peace, 6 families in Tskhaltubo and Kutaisi received clothing, food and hygiene packages for bedridden patients.
This action is planned in the future.
On June 27, in the village of Tskaltubo there was held an action of the youth with the slogan “No to violence”. Young people in rural communities have distributed information leaflets. With the help of action they protested against violence against women.
The action took place in the framework of the project Tskaltubo Women Support Center "Knowledge will overcome the violence."
The children try to write heartfelt words. "My Abkhazian friends", "I love Abkhazia", "I am from Abkhazia too" They draw on the balls, write messages of peace.
This unusual lesson was held in the International Day of Peace in Poti, school №21 of the Abkhazian Autonomous Republic.
