The representative of the Kvinna till Kvinna in Georgia, Johanna Arkasen, visited the fund “Sukhumi” and attended the information meeting of the Women's Initiative Group in the library of Kutaisi. The meeting was held within the framework of the International Campaign "16 active days against gender-based violence" and was attended by representatives of various groups of society. Participants focused on the facts of violence against women and discussed what should be done to make the woman feel safe.

Since January, the Fund "Sukhumi" began to work in the project "Early prevention of conflict - theory and practice". The project is three-year, and aims to early prevention of crisis situations in society and the expected conflicts.
Geographical area covers two cities - Kutaisi and Tskaltubo, as well as the villages bordering Abkhazia: Khurcha, Koki, Orsantia, Ganmukhuri.
In frames of the project, three Women's Initiative Groups will operate. The project includes information meetings in different communities, identification of conflict situations and preventive measures.
It is planned to publish a research and presentation to inform the public about early conflict resolution.

The women's initiative group of Tskaltubo actively joined the International Campaign "16 active days against gender-based violence". Information meetings were held in the villages of Tskaltubo municipality: Tskhunkuri, Gumbrini, Kvilishori.
Representatives of local self-government were actively involved in the campaign. As the moderator notes, the attitude of society in comparison with the past years has changed. People of different generations say that woman's support is important to the family. The society and the state should take special care of her. Violence against women is evil and should not happen.

Kutaisi Women Initiative Group of the Fund "Sukhumi" contributes to the 16-day information campaign against gender-based violence. Members of the group meet with representatives of the society, distribute information leaflets. The attitude of people of different generations is this: violence against women is a serious problem and work against it is the duty of every citizen.

A psychological counseling meeting was held with women in Poti WSC. The topics of the conversation - the situation in the family, the foundation of family happiness, factors of well-being.
During the discussion it was noted that happiness must be created constantly. When marrying, you need to set a goal: "I will make my wife happy" or "I will make my husband happy." This is the secret of happiness.
Due to post-stress crisis situations, up to a hundred people addressed the psychologist of the Fund "Sukhumi" during December. All of them received appropriate answers and support. In addition, members of crisis families and individual beneficiaries continue to receive psychotherapeutic consultations online. They note that during a pandemic, this is the actual and necessary assistance provided by the Fund "Sukhumi".
The Women Initiative Groups of the Fund "Sukhumi" have joined the 16-day international campaign against violence towards the women with various activities.
“Peace at home, peace in the world”, “Violence against women is a crime!” - such messages were voiced by the activists of the Fund "Sukhumi" during the action near the conflict line (Khurcha and Nayui96evi villages of Zugdidi and Gali municipalities). Gender challenges were discussed at an online meeting in the village Pakhulani (Tsalenjikha municipality) and expressed a protest in such a way.
The Women's Support Centers of Tskhaltubo, Khoni and Ozurgeti, in compliance with all regulations regarding the pandemic, joined the 16-day campaign against violence towards the women. They covered a large number of beneficiaries with various activities. Meetings with local governments, informational meetings, consultations of a lawyer and a psychologist, round tables, actions were held, masks made in the Day Rehabilitation Center of the Fund "Sukhumi" were distributed to vulnerable groups.
Khurcha/Koki Women Support Center (Zugdidi municipality) was actively involved in the campaign of “16 days of active against violence towards women”. From November 25 to December 10, there was a cascade of events: a round table, an action, information meetings, consultations of a lawyer and a psychologist, an essay and drawing competition. Vulnerable groups were given masks sewn by women victims of violence at the Day Rehabilitation Center of the Fund “Sukhumi”. Also, online trainings were held with teachers, pupils and parents of target schools on the topic of violence and bullying. It was noted, that during pandemic, the number of cases of violence increased and such meetings give women hope that they are not alone.
