In October, the mobilizers of Senaki, Kutaisi, Khoni, Khurcha / Koki (Zugdidi municipality) and Pakhulani (Tsalenjikha municipality) Women Support Centers held mobilization meetings.
The topic of the meetings is the International Day of Rural Women. This day reminds society how valuable is the work of women living in the villages. The state should realize that a woman, who is socially and economically active will bring great benefits both to her family and to the whole society. Meetings with representatives of local governments were held on this topic, so that the needs of women and girls living in villages become priority for them. The advocacy groups started to work on the issues, raised during the meetings.
The project of Poti Women Support Center “Chain of Violence” is in the active phase. A meeting in the hall of the college “Pazisi” was organized by members of the Women’s Club. Representatives of medical institutions, law enforcement agencies, the gender council and other spheres of society spoke about the reasons of domestic violence and ways to eradicate it. The members of the Women's Club addressed the local self-government with an initiative to include appropriate budgetary resources in strategies and action plans and provide assistance to women victims of domestic violence.
Art Gallery 34 hosted a competition of drawings of the beneficiaries of Poti Day Center. The topic of competition was: “The Family of My Dreams”. The competition showed what does the family of dreams look like for children and how close it is to reality.
TV Company “9th Wave” of Poti prepared the TV story about the meeting in frames of the project: “Chain of Violence”.
In frames of Ozurgeti Women Support Center small project, a group was created to identify and respond to violence. In October, a meeting was held with the members of the group. There was also a meeting with teachers of kindergartens in Ozurgeti with the inclusion of a lawyer and psychologist. They received information on how to identify a child who is a victim of violence, and whom to address for the response.
Members of Tskaltubo youth initiative group held two meetings on gender issues. In irder to better understand the problems, films on violence and bullying were shown, which was followed by active discussion. Participants received information on referral mechanisms and services provided for a victim of violence.

There was also a meeting-dialogue with parents with the inclusion of a lawyer, conflict expert and psychologist of the Fund “Sukhumi”. Parents spoke openly about the problems. They expressed a desire to systematically hold such meetings and involve more parents. In addition to general meetings, individual + e consultations were also held.

In frame of Poti Women Support Center, an informational meeting was held with the directors of the target kindergartens and members of the initiative group. The topics of domestic violence and mechanisms problem response were discussed. Participants noted that it is necessary to promote the implementation of a coordination system between referral subjects - this is very important for the prevention of violence.
Two events were held in frames of a small project of Lanchkhuti Women Support Center.
One activity was held in a kindergarten - with the participation of a lawyer, psychologist and conflict expert of the Fund “Sukhumi”. The participants got acquainted with referral program. They talked about how to identify children who are at risk of violence.
A training was also held in Lanchkhuti, which was attended by representatives of the Mayor in five communities, specialists and a social worker. They received information about identification and response to violence.

An informational meeting in frames of the small project of Women Support Center “Parents for a Healthy Generation” was held with the teachers and parents of the kindergarten in the village Teklati (Senaki Municipality). The lawyer and psychologist of the Fund "Sukhumi" noted that educators should be involved in identifying facts of violence. Information about how tressful situation harms the psychology of child, turned out to be important for parents. The meeting was held in a mode of active dialogue.
“Prevention of Violence and Protection of Violence Victim” - a round table in Ozurgeti was dedicated to this topic.
The meeting aimed at facilitating the coordination of local refereeing mechanisms, and it was attended by the representatives of law enforcement agencies, the Social Service Agency, local government, schools and medical institutions. The participants of the round table exchanged experiences and underlined the need to improve cooperation with each other. The main will be taken by Gender Equality Council – this is a council with great practice. It studies local gender needs, advocates and solves many problems.
From September, a new group of women began working on polymer clay in the Day center of the Fund “Sukhumi”. During the lessons they learn to create different products. The students themselves have already made many interesting compositions from polymer clay. They are pleased with the learning process and their results.
