On January 22, informational meetings was held in the military settlement of Senaki, together with the IDPs there live local too. The meeting participants know the fund “Sukhumi”, but their interest was paid to information about active work of Senaki Gender Advisory Council (GAC), especially to the fact that in 2016 municipal budget, there are envisaged recommendations, submitted by the GAC.

The IDPs spoke about their problems (illegal living spaces, gasification, cellars).

It was solved that the lawyer of the fund “Sukhumi” will be involved in advocacy for fast solution of the problem.

On July 4, the informational meeting in Senaki was attended by representatives of the Museum of Zhiuli Shartava, the local history museum, art school and house of culture.

The meeting was participated by member of Sakrebulo Eliso Tsaguria and representative of Municipality Eka Kurashvili.

Staff of the cultural department are funded by local self-government. They modestly noted about low salaries and asked to think about their increase.

In addition, they talked about social problems. Representatives of the local government promised them to determined the problem and help as much as possible.

The ordinary informational meeting in Senaki, Fund "Sukhumi" held with the representatives of ethnical minorities - with assiriyans. Assyrians have been living for almost a hundred years on Chavchavadze Street. 50 families have preserved their language, writing (especially - the older generation). Young people study in Georgian schools.
As they say, they have a tradition similar to Georgian, as the Christian faith is common. But there is a difference, for example, in the ritual of marriage.
During the meeting, among many issues, special attention was given to the river that runs along the house and is very dirty, but the population on their own cannot do anything.
To eradicate the problem, with the help of an assistant, the population the same day addressed Gamgeoba Municipality, City Council and the Gender Advisory Council with the statement.

Ordinary meeting was held with the IDPs residing in Menji. They have no drinking water for more than a month with the reason of damaging the water pipe. This problem was announced by the fund “Sukhumi” to chairperson of Senaki Sakrebulo – Jumber Lashkarava, who met the IDPs, familiarized with the problems and mentioned that it will be solved soon.
The problem No2 is absence of garbage can. As a result of informational meeting and with involvement of local structures, the problem was solved in some days and the territory of former Sanatorium” was cleaned.

Ordinary informational meeting was held in Senaki, collective center of the hotel “Egrisi”. The IDPs are grateful, that they were legally transferred this building, but they expressed nonsatisfaction with the fact that there is no gasification. With the help of the representative of fund “Sukhumi”, they prepared a letter, which will be sent to relevant structure. The meeting was held in frames of the campaign “16 active days against violence towards the women”. The participants received information regarding campaign and its importance.

The informational meeting on the draft reform on IDP issues was held in the framework of the project "Inclusion of NGOs working on issues of social protection in the strategic dialogue in Georgia" in Khoni Sakrebulo.

Meetings were attended by the deputy chairman of Sakrebulo, members of the Sakrebulo, representatives of the social service of Gamgeoba and the staff of the Apparatus. Representatives of local self-government consider that the reform should be oriented to the needs of IDPs, an individual approach to each family is necessary.

This time fund “Sukhumi” visited school No4 of Ozurgeti. The school is 125 years old and there are 630 pupils and 59 teachers.
In Georgian-language school (used to be bilingual) study the representatives of other nationalities too (Armenians, Ukrainians, Russian, Assyrians).
Several problems were identified- there is no drinking water in school, no gym, so-called "smart boards" the courtyard must be renewed and the stadium covered.
Package of the issues for advocacy and solution will be delivered to a gender advisory board and local government agencies.

Informational meeting in Public school No5 of Ozurgeti was attended by teachers and parents.

Most of parents had no information about budget programs. They raised motivation, to learn more about it and use the support existing in the budget.

The teachers spoke about number of problems – there is no gas in schools. The teachers have to change transports to reach to school. They mentioned that they were promised free transportation, but have not get it yet. It was decided to advocate this issue at ordinary meeting of the club of voter women.

Ordinary informal meeting in Ozurgeti was held with the residents of Chokhatauri Street. Residents of the room 14 (ethnic Armenians among them) speak about the problem of gasification. As 86 year-old lady – Eteri Mgaloblishvili mentions, natural gas passes in some meters from their building.
The audience raised the issue several times with the help of the Fund ”Sukhumi” in the City Hall regarding the problems of roofing and yards, but these problems are still unsolved.

In the kindergarten No 4 of Ozurgeti there was held informational meeting, which was attended by the members of Sakrebulo Irina Sajaia and Nino Tabatadze. The staff of kindergarten has only one requirement – full rehabilitation of the building, as they work in bad conditions. They also spoke about low salaries and asked to envisage teir work and responsibility.

The members of Sakrebulo promised that they will meet the Mayor of the city and discuss the issue of rehabilitation, and the topic of salaries is still under question.
