


In frames of 16 day campaign in the villages of Ozurgeti Municipality Dvabzu and Tskhemliskhidi, the members of gender advisory council organized informational meetings with the teachers and pupils. Then the young people conducted action and meetings with the village population, disseminated informational leaflets.

To the campaign of "16 active days against gender violence" Khoni Women Support Center dedicated mini-project "Women break stereotypes."
According to the project summary, the majority of women of military settlement collective center are passive, do not have information about the gender-based violence. The project included women who did not attend the Women's Support Center events. Women's Championship in Backgammon was organized. This broke one of the stereotypes as sport is considered as a man's job.
The championship was attended by representatives of local government.
In frames of the project there was printed a poster-calendar with photos of football players of the club "Abkhazeti" - the winner of the amateur league - Imereti 2016. Especially impressionable was the slogan of the poster "We condemn the violence!"
All participants of the calendar of the championship were given the calendar, as well as informational leaflets. Everyone agrees that it is necessary to condemn the violence and to do everything to reduce the number of violent facts.
Group of Kutaisi Youth Club conducted activity in the fund “Sukhumi” - “We do not count chromosomes”. There were invited the children with this diagnosis, psychologist and manager of the Center of Social rehabilitation.
The event was held on the initiative of the club member – Mari Kurtanidze. The guest spent time pleasantly and received the gifts.
In the work of the Club of Voter Women of Khobi, members of Sakrebulo Dodo Gabunia and MziaLomandria joined, who told about their activities, the results achieved, and the changes they contributed, as decision-makers.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Gamgeoba Infrastructure, Urban Development and Architecture Service, Zaza Bukia, who reported on the work carried out to study the situation in the village of Kheta. The village problem was voiced at the previous meeting of the Club. The head of the service promised the representatives of the village that he would try to do everything possible to solve the village problem in the near future.









Youth Clubs of Schools №1 Tskhaltubo and №7 Poti, as well as the village of Koki (Zugdidi Municipality) considered an interesting subject - the ethical standards and the formation of personal culture, as a tool for violence prevention.
Initially, participants were unable to link the ethics with violence, but immediately defined links and practical purpose, to use the knowledge and skills in life.
There was felt working mood and interactive, interesting debate, life examples.
There were lots of questions that were answered together. It was said that no one gives the students information on these topics, and it is the role of non-governmental sector.
The role and importance of advocacy - on this urgent topic there were held informational meetings of Youth Clubs in April.
The work showed that this topic is interesting and necessary. Young people talked about the problems that concern them. Cited examples related to advocacy. According to them, advocacy is a long process, but it gives results. At the meetings, they noted what problems young people want to put forward, and received some consultations.
The meetings were held in the public schools of Poti and the village Koki (Zugdidi municipality), as well as in the private school of Khoni.
