On May 1, a lawyer of the fund “Sukhumi” held a meeting at Tskaltub Women Support Center.

May 3 - Khurcha Women Support Center / Co-organized a meeting with a lawyer at the school in Ganmukhuri village (Zugdidi municipality).

May 5 - the meeting was held in Poti Women Support Center.

On May 11 - the women met a lawyer at Senaki Women Support Center.

May 15 - on the initiative of Kutaisi Women Support Center, the meeting took place in the library No. 17.

On May 16, the women attended a legal information and consultation meeting at the Khopni Women Support Center.

At the meetings following issues were discussed: the law "On the suppression of domestic violence, the protection of victims of domestic violence and their assistance", domestic law, human rights. And Individual consultations were given on registration of agricultural land, inheritance, labor migration.

Women Support Centers of Poti, Kutaisi, Khoni and Khurcha (Zugdidi Municipality) organized regular psychological group information and consultative meetings.

For the talks, an actual topic was proposed - the victim's complex, the reasons and how to get rid of the violence in the family.

As noted, there are people who, even under very favorable circumstances of life, feel unhappy. It would seem that they all have: family, children, and work, but they constantly complain about life. There are people who seem to be attracting trouble to themselves. The victim complex unites all these people. The psychologist conducted important work with the participants in order to overcome the victim's complex.

The psychological meetings in Tskhaltubo, Poti and village Ivandidi (Khoni Municipality) were attended by 3 people.

The main topic of the meeting - the risk of suicide in a violent environment, traces of trauma and suicide prevention. A goal - to educate women to avoid fatal results of violence.

The phrases "I'm tired, I do not want to live, to commit suicide and see what happens to you" - passive thoughts which are unconscious signals of people claiming salvation, and therefore they should not be left unattended.

The meetings were held in an interactive format. The topic appeared interesting and important for all participants. Especially in Ivandidi, since the villagers had the sad experience of suicide in rural areas.

In WSCs of Senaki, Kutaisi and Khurcha (Zugdidi municipality) during the January there were held psychological group meetings on the topic: “Combating and control against negative emotions and stresses.” This is one of the preventive measures of domestic violence.

The reasons, which cause violence are numerous: troubles in personal life, problems at work, conflicts with family, unpaid loans, complexes and phobias. On the advice of a psychologist, without an analysis of these reasons it is impossible to overcome stress.

12 group psychological meetings were held round Kutaisi in May, in compactly resided placed of IDPs with participation of 84 women. Also there were held individual consultations regarding a problem of family relations. The main issue ofteh conversation was model or form of family relations. Popular wisdom says: "Forewarned - is forearmed." The more we know about the family relationship, the less mistakes we make in life. Consultations had this exact goal.

In June there were held 12 meetings with the lawyer of the fund “Sukhumi” in different collective centers. The participants were provided information about a law on free expression and law on “Internally displaced persons from occupied territories of Georgia”.

There were also given legal consultations for preparation of special statement and receipt of alternative living space.

In September 12 meetings were held with the IDPs from Abkhazia. The meetings were attended by 82 women. They received information regarding the following issue: problem solution through mediation. There were also held two individual consultations – the aunt of one participant should be placed in the elderly house, and the other participant needs assistance in problems solution of abrogation of agreement conditions and she was re-addressed in the association of young lawyers.

After the monitoring it was revealed that the needs of one beneficiary is already satisfied, who received consultation in the last months.

In October in collective centers of Kutaisi there were held 12 meetings of IDP women from Abkhazia with the lawyer. The meetings were attended by 82 women.

There was held informing of women regarding concrete items of the law against violence, also about importance of women participation in the elections and the importance of more women – delegates for the protection of women.

There were also held two individual consultations. One of the beneficiaries has 15 year old girl, who became a victim from the side of her husband. After the consultation of the lawyer of the fund “Sukhumi” the woman was re-addressed to lawyer’s bureau in order to protect her rights in the court.
