Final workshops on the issues of conflictology were held in Kontuati (Khoni municipality) Gvishtibi (Tskhaltubo municipality) and in school No. 4 of Ozurgeti. The workshops were attended by students, directors and teachers. It was noted that such meetings are important, as conflict management is an actual topic in our society.
According to the teachers, the non-governmental sector helps the school very much in teaching young people to manage their emotions and build communication with people without conflicts. They have the opportunity to be leaders - more developed, courageous, fair, and live in a non-violent environment.
The youth clubs of Senaki (village Teklati), Khoni (village Nakhakhulevi) and Poti held meetings on the topic of tolerance.
The interest of the participants was great. This was expressed in active discussions, role games. Everyone had the opportunity to express their opinions. Club members are going to hold meetings on this topic with their peers.
After the workshops held together with the conflictologist of the Fund “Sukhumi”, the members of the “Conflict Management Group” started informational meetings in their schools.
Members of the group of Poti school No. 1, schools of the village Nigvziani (Lanchkhuti municipality) and Gvishtibi (Tskaltubo municipality) have already held several such meetings attended by directors and teachers.

The role of men in the family and society - this was the main subject of conversation at ordinary meetings held with the boys. They consider themselves to be part of society, and also pay attention to their role. In their opinion, a man should protect his family, take part in all processes, including in the upbringing of children. Also in society, women and men should have equal rights, and promote harmonious relationships, creating a non-violent environment.
In May, meetings were held in the municipalities of Senaki (May 1), Khoni (May 2), Lanchkhuti (May 3), Tskaltubo (May 6), Poti (May 7), Zugdidi (May 8), Terjola (May 10), Ozurgeti (May 14), Kutaisi (May 15). Work is actively conducted in groups where there are only boys...
Using different methods, workshops were held with students of public schools in the village Nigvziani (Lanchkhuti municipality), the village Kveda Simoneti (Terjola municipality) and school No. 15 of Kutaisi.
Evaluation of participants are following:
“I learned how to behave in conflict situations”, “Sometimes I have such anger that I can’t control my emotions, but after these meetings I became calmer”, “I realized that I don’t need to make a decision on my hot heart”, “I really like similar meetings. It would be better to meet each other more often”.
The topic of the meetings is quite actual: problem of tolerance in society.
Therefore, young people with great interest joined the work and discussions. They expressed their opinions, and talked about the problems they face in everyday life.
Informational meetings of the Youth Clubs were held in public schools of the following villages: Gurianta (Ozurgeti Municipality), Nigvziani (Lanchkhuti Municipality) and Zeda Simoneti (Terjola Municipality).
Three more informational meetings were held in the Youth Clubs. This time - in the private school “Otsneba” in Tskhaltubo, in school No. 33 - Kutaisi, and in the school of the village Ergeta (Zugdidi municipality).
The topic of the meeting - tolerance - united the participants, although all the groups were different. Especially it is necessary to note that young people do not have aggression. They showed great interest in the topic. They noted that the lack of tolerance is the basis for conflict and violence, so such meetings and discussions are very important.
Pupils of the public schools of the village Gvishtibi (Tskaltubo municipality), the village Orulu (Zugdidi municipality) and school No. 4 of Ozurgeti together with the conflictologist of the Fund “Sukhumi” discussed the styles of behavior in conflict situations. Through visual posters, concrete examples, they analyzed the situations and gained new skills .
“I learned how to solve the conflict peacefully,” “I got acquainted with the“ golden rule”,“ I want the work to continue,” this was the evaluation of the workshops from the side of pupils.
Styles of behavior in conflict situations and the peaceful resolution of conflict - this was the topic of workshops with students. Using different methods, workshops became even more interesting. The workshops were held in a private school of Senaki, in a public school of the village of Kontuati (Khoni municipality) and school No. 1 in Poti.
Participants learned a lot, including: the meaning of putting a “label” on a person, the importance of controlling emotions, stages of conflict escalation, solving a problem through negotiations.
Pupils noted that the acquired knowledge and skills will not only be useful to them in life, but will also be shared with their peers.
Concrete examples of escalation of the conflict and the possible consequences were discussed by the students of the private lyceum school of Senaki, school No 15 - Kutaisi and the villa - of Orulu (Zugdidi municipality) together with the conflictologist of the Fund "Sukhumi". Work with these groups will be continued.
