The Women Fund "Sukhumi" actively began to work in support of Ukrainian refugees.

There are 61 people in our database, 23 of whom have already left Georgia. 4 of them live with relatives, the rest either rent or stay with friends who provided them with accommodation free of charge. A Facebook was created, where all relevant information is placed.

The Women Fund "Sukhumi" is in touch with the Tbilisi organization "Help for Ukraine", they have information about the assistance that we can provide to refugees, they also share with us information that may be useful to us. We are also in touch with humanitarian organization “Mercy”, which distributes humanitarian aid to different regions of Georgia.

An online survey continues on the Facebook page of the Fund "Sukhumi" to assess the needs of Ukrainians. The needs of majority are similar: food, hygiene products, clothing.

We have helped 8 families so far. Specific needs were also provided: a wheelchair was provided for a three-year-old girl, the necessary medicines were purchased, glasses were bought for one woman, notebooks and pens were brought for students, and toys for children.

One family received the necessary legal advice. In case of necessity, a psychologist of the Fund "Sukhumi" works with the refugees.

We help in solving health problems - a child who dislocated his arm received timely free assistance. We helped with the choice of a doctor and clinic for a woman in labor. We found housing for a cancer patient. Collected information where they can provide free medical care.

We also take care of the employment of refugees (we found 4 jobs in a bakery, in a beauty salon, in an insurance company and in a clothing company).

We have constant contact with Ukrainians who temporarily live in Kutaisi and need our help.

The project is implemented with the support of the organization Brot
