“Harmonious environment for Children” is the name of a small project of Kobuleti Women Support Center. In August, informational meetings were held with heads of target kindergartens and parents of pupils. One of the meetings was held with the head of Sakrebulo Gender Equality Council. The conversation during the meetings touched upon the following topics: the law against domestic violence, responding mechanisms, existing municipal and state services.
Within the framework of the project "Woman's Right - Freedom", which is implemented by Poti Women Support Center, the Women's Club conducted a marathon on the Golden Lake on the topic: "Sport is the step to a healthy lifestyle." The project envisages activation of the women-representatives of ethnic minorities, because they represent a risk group. The marathon is one of the parts of the psychotherapy of the beneficiaries, who got involved with great enthusiasm and interest.
"We fight violence and poverty by work" is a small project of Terjola Women Support Center. The project will contribute to the social and economic strengthening of women living in rural areas. Informational meetings will be held, representatives of the risk group will study handicrafts (carpet knitting, cooking, serving), which will motivate them to start their own business.
The first activities have already taken place, an information meeting on the topic “Domestic violence, local programs and other government services”. A group for the study of carpet knitting was completed and the work has begun.
Senaki Women Support Center is implementing two small projects. Within the framework of one project, active work will be carried out with kindergarten teachers and parents on the issues of violence issues - this will contribute to the upbringing of a healthy generation. The second project is aimed at informing young people about the conflict. Within the framework of the projects, preparatory work was completed, meetings of the lawyer and psychologist of the Fund "Sukhumi" with the beneficiaries were carried out.
Lanchkhuti Women Support Center continues to implement the project "Violence Prevention - Harmonious Environment for Kids". Within the framework of the project, educators and parents of 22 kindergartens in Lanchkhuti municipality received information about violence and bullying, meetings were held with representatives of local self-government. The psychologist and lawyer of the Fund "Sukhumi" met with the staff of the kindergarten in the village Shromisubani. The participants learned how to identify children at risk of violence, and how they should respond according to the law.
In July, Women Support Centers organized meetings of a conflict expert and a psychologist with four married couples in Kobuleti, Zugdidi and Senaki municipalities. Both the online format and the live meeting format were used. Couples received information on conflict management issues. During the process, the need to include a lawyer was identified, since the disagreement between the couples was associated with the lack of information regarding legal issues. One of the couples was redirected to a lawyer of the Fund "Sukhumi" to receive competent information.
“Woman's Right - Freedom” is the name of a small project of Poti Women Support Center. A presentation of the project with the participation of members of the Women's Club took place in Gallery 34. During the meeting, the conversation touched the issues of early marriage and domestic violence. The TV story about the presentation was prepared by the broadcasting company “9-th Wave”. The project envisages informing the representatives of ethnic minorities living in Poti municipality on the topic of violence.

In July, worry and anxiety was the main topic of conversation at all group psychological meetings, as it became a part of women's lives. How to avoid anxiety, how to calm yourself and your loved ones - this issue was discussed at group meetings organized at the Women Support Centers of Senaki, Kobuleti, Khurcha (Zugdidi municipality), Lanchkhuti, Pakhulani (Tsalenjikha municipality). Number of participants was - 42 beneficiaries from 16 to 67 years old.
During the month, the psychologist also worked online - she received calls from different regions of Western Georgia. The women received individual consultation and support.
The lawyer’s meetings in June were of a combined format – both: remote and online consultations were held, as well as direct meetings in the regions with different groups. Meetings on the needs of the beneficiaries were organized by the mobilizers of the Women Support Centers of Khoni, Senaki, Pakhulani (Tsalenjikha Municipality), Tskaltubo, Khurcha / Koki (Zugdidi Municipality).
For the first time, a meeting of a lawyer was held in Kobuleti, since the Women's Support Center was already established there, and the first activities began.
The lawyer answered questions, and also gave individual advice.
