On ordinary meeting of Kutaisi GAC, the members presented reports of the research. They discussed the results and mentioned that for revealing local gender needs interesting material is collected. The parallels were made with the research of the previous year.
It was noted: informing of society regarding local budget is still a problem.
It was planned: to review recommendations in the next year, which will be elaborated as a result of research analysis.
The meeting was continued by the second issue. The GAC members heard information regarding a project “Olympiad gives equal possibilities”. The project is implemented by co-financing of the GAC and the City hall and aims to raise awareness of the society for establishment of gender components on sport area.

Members of Kutaisi Gender Advisory Council (GAC) gathered at ordinary meeting. In the first part the members heard information regarding segments, which are part of the project together with the GAC: cooperation with the media, work of the Club of Voter Women, legal informational-consultative meetings. Participants mentioned that gender changers became possible by coordinative work of all segments.

After that they actively discussed action plan for 2016-2017 for the activities against violence regarding women and domestic violence, also victims’ assistance. They discussed recommendations and suggestions, which can be implemented at local level for the assistance of the victims.

On July an dordinary meeting of Kutaisi GAC was held. How do the participants evaluate network meeting of Kutaisi, Ozurgeti, Batumi and Senaki GAC, conducted by the fund “Sukhumi”. What did they gain and how will they use experience – the GAC members expressed their opinion round these issues.
The most significant result for them - creation of the Network of GACs, which will raise the level of coordination between different GACs for achieving common goal. The meeting was a good opportunity to meet, exchange experience, that should be reflected in terms of gender aspect in the budgets of four cities.
The members of GAC reviewed the recommendations developed according the results of the study of gender needs. It was decided to select the group that will continue to work on the recommendations. Final version will be presented to Kutaisi Sakrebulo, in order to envisage recommendations in the budget of next year.

The ordinary 18-th meeting of Senaki GAC was attended by the chairpersons of the fund “Sukhumi”, who discussed future cooperation with Senaki local government.
This was the first meeting after the general meeting in Batumi on June 30, which the network of Kutaisi, Ozurgeti and Batumi GACs was created.
Members of Senaki GAC gave high evaluation to this fact: signing a memorandum of creating a network of GACs in Georgia is logical continuation of activities of the fund “Sukhumi” in 4 regions of Georgia. It will enlarge opportunities of the council members regarding exchange of experience and informing.
The meeting also discussed results and conclusions Senaki public groups’ gender needs evaluation. Council members began active work for elaboration of concrete recommendations for 2016 budget.

Tskaltubo Women Support Center with financial support of the fund “Sukhumi began to implement a project “We will combate violence with knowledge”. In frames of the project, there were held informational meetings in Sakrebulo with representatives of local self-government. They received information about informational-educational work in the villages Khomuli and Tskaltubo.

Representatives of local government expressed readiness of support in implementation of activities.

The regular meeting of the Advisors Council on Social Issues was held in the hall of Khoni Sakrebulo.

Subjects: brief overview of the progress of projects financed by PIN; Social priorities of the municipality - recommendations for the "Priority Document"; A brief report of the work of organizations representing social services (Panacea, Green Regions, IDP Integration Center); The project of the online platform for global employment "Digital citizen" - as the prospects for implementing the social strategy of Khoni.

At the meeting, new initiatives were identified for the implementation of a more effective social policy. There was a discussion about social assistance on the needs of the beneficiaries. The conversation touched on the challenges existing in the service of preschool education. A joint strategy of self-government and civic groups was planned to expand the activities of the Day Center for Young Persons with Disabilities.

In Batumi, at a joint forum 74 people gathered, who represented the members of the Gender Advisory Councils (GAC) of Kutaisi, Senaki, Ozurgeti, Batumi and representatives of the local authorities of these cities and the Fund "Sukhumi".
It was a summary of two years activities of two projects of the Fund "Sukhumi". In frames of these projects were created GACs in four cities of Georgia with the support of Gender Equality Fund, UN Women and the US State Department.
Presentation of the work done, implementated projects, results and achievements, exchange of experience, assessment of local gender needs, objectives and activities of the GAC, prospects for the future, project ideas and initiatives, informal relations ...
In short, these two days in Batumi were interesting and important ...
The most important thing is that the effectiveness of GACs and their influence on the formation of local gender policies was clearly revealed.
At the end of the meeting it was signed a memorandum on mutual cooperation and creation of Gender Advisory Councils network in Georgia.

Review of changes in the law against violence, the role of local government in the prevention of violence and assistance of victims - these issues were discussed at a network meeting in Kutaisi, in the hotel "Riverside". The event was attended by members of the Gender Advisory Council (GAC), Kutaisi, Senaki, Ozurgeti and Batumi, as well as deputies of the City Council, representatives of the local administration and the City Hall.

Invited expert spoke about the changes in the law against violence, relating to the powers of local government.

What is the role of local government in the prevention of violence and assistance to the victim - in this regard groups developed suggestions recommendations.

According to participants, the meeting was informative and productive, and they have developed recommendations contributing to effective work for the prevention of violence and assistance of victims.

Fund "Sukhumi" organized a networking meeting of Gender Advisory Councils (GAC), of Kutaisi, Senaki and Ozurgeti in complex - restaurant "Grand Palace".

The meeting heard reports on the changes in the law on Gender Equality, a gender policy development in the regions, on the achievements and experience of GAC, cooperation with society and the role of the mass media.

In the final part of the meeting there was a discussion, and proposals have been developed for further work.

Mukhadjir – it was the name of activity, held in Tbilisi, in National Library of the Parliament, where the fund “Sukhumi” was invited (one of the organizers – Apparatus of the Minister on the issues of raising confidence and usage of Abkhazian Autonomous Republic). It was the memory of history, which caused great pain to the Georgian and Abkhazian peoples.
- We want to tell the Abkhazian, who celebrate the day that we were together in joy and in sorrow, and it always will be like this - it was said at the event.
The exhibition presented a unique photographic material. At the end of the event of Georgian-Abkhazian folklore.
According to organizers, the exhibition will also be held in other cities of Georgia.
