Members of Kutaisi Women's Initiative Group actively conduct informational meetings. The public is informed on the following issues: social problems and conflicts, early prevention of conflicts using the GREWS elements(Gender Responsive Early Warning System), the role of civil society.

These meetings are important in terms of informing. Participants analyze that their problems may cause conflicts, therefore, timely inclusion and reduction of conflict risk is necessary.

In parallel with the information, the Women's Initiative Group, together with the local authorities, is working on solving the identified problems.

Members of Tskaltubo Women's Initiative Group are actively working to solve social problems that may cause conflict in society.

The initiative group has already passed two stages: data collection and systematization. At this stage, the group, together with representatives of local structures, is considering the problem in order to reduce the risks of conflict development.

“Gender Responsive Early Warning System” - using this system, the Women's Initiative Group of the village Khurcha (Zugdidi Municipality) actively works on advocacy of problems that require timely response.

Members of the group cooperate with local authorities, to whom this problem directly concerns. On the basis of the action plan, information is being systematically filled in and the public is informed on these issues.

During the informational meeting of Kutaisi Women Initiative Group, the participants listened to information about the problems advocated with the inclusion of local government.

- Most conflicts are developed on the background of social problems. The number of problems and the number of resolved conflicts are the same, and this will contribute to the creation of a peaceful society was mentioned at the meeting.

Tskaltubo Women Initiative Group held a regular informational meeting. The participants discussed the reasons of conflicts in society. They also talked about the extent to which these problems affect women, and what needs to be done to solve them at an early stage.

When considering gender problems, it was noted that social and infrastructural problems for women create great discomfort. Therefore, their solution will improve their security, and reduce the risk of developing conflicts.

Members of the Women Initiative Group of the Fund "Sukhumi" gathered in the village Khurcha (Zugdidi municipality). The group identified two problems with the risks of conflict development.

Participants discussed how to solve these problems in order to reduce risks. They noted:

- Local government should become a participant in these processes. We need to talk about the problems in the respective structures in order to find ways to solve them.

An information meeting with representatives of various communities was held in the Fund "Sukhumi". Representatives of local authorities were invited. The participants got acquainted with the information about the programs of municipal infrastructure.

Participants discussed three issues that contain the risk of conflict, and are gender-sensitive.

In the process of reviewing the problems, representatives of the state structures were actively involved, and ways of problem solution were identified.

Members of Kutaisi Women Initiative Group will continue to cooperate with the authorities to solve the problems, and this is very important for the early prevention of conflicts.

The representative of the Swedish Women's Fund Kvinna till Kvinna in Georgia Etuna Nogaideli attended the meeting.

Members of the Women Initiative Group of Tskaltubo held an informational meeting on the topic of early conflict prevention. The meeting was attended by women from different communities of the society.

- What type of problems are actual, whether these problems contain risks for the development of conflicts, who reacts to them and how, whom they address to solve specific problems - the meeting participants mainly focused on these issues.

An initiative group will analyze the problems that may cause the development of conflict, a plan will be developed for their solution at an early stage.

“Lack of information is one of the factors that contributes to the development of conflicts in society,” – note the members of Tskaltubo Women Initiative Group.

According to them the group should intensify work in this direction in future. Citizens should have competent information about municipal programs, in order to be able to solve problems existing in the infrastructural, social and economical spheres and resolve conflicts at an early stage.

Members of Kutaisi Women Initiative Group have elaborated the strategy for the future: how the initiative group should work, what problems are relevant in society, what should be done to prevent conflict situations.

While working on the problems, it was highlighted that problems existing in the socio-economic sphere often cause the development of conflicts in society, however, the main problem is the lack of information among the population on the early resolution of conflicts.
