What is PR? What do we need it for? What methods and tools should we use to promote the organization’s activities? How to spread information in order to cover more audiences?

An online training on these topics was held within the framework of the project “A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap monitoring”.

The training was attended by representatives of three partner organizations implementing the project: the Fund “Sukhumi”, the Fund of Women Entrepreneurs, the Imereti Scientists’ Union, and 16 civil society organizations.

 The online meeting was held in an interactive mode - participants put questions, expressed opinions, and discussed specific examples.

In May, training webinars were held on: “Violence against children - model of a school free from violence.”

Participants: teachers from the regions of Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti and Shida Kartli.

Issues discussed: bullying and violence, stigma and stereotypes, effective communication, prevention of bullying, monitoring of a safe school.

The webinar was conducted by the Human Doc Foundation, in collaboration with the Friendship Bridge “Kartlosi” and the Fun “Sukhumi”, in the framework of the project “Strengthening the domestic violence prevention system, protection of the victim and therapy for the rapist”.

16 small projects were funded in frames of the project “A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap monitoring”.

Eight municipalities in Western Georgia have already begun implementing these projects.

Additional online training on financial reporting and accounting was held for the representatives of civil society forum member organizations.

This training will help civil society organizations to properly manage the finances of projects funded by the Fund “Sukhumi”.

The Cultural-Humanitarian Fund “Sukhumi” organized webinar on "How to plan and conduct advocacy campaign".

16 civil society organizations from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi participated in the webinar. The purpose of this online training was to familiarize the the representatives of the Civic Forum to the essence and importance of advocacy; stages of advocacy planning and forms of implementation; basic principles of advocacy strategy development.

During the training, participants learned about examples of best practices in advocacy. Also, during the group work at the training, the participants had the opportunity to compose short plans of their own advocacy.

On April 22, the Cultural - Humanitarian Fund “Sukhumi” organized a webinar on the topic of "Development of Projects and Grant Applications" within the framework of the project "Common Forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap Monitoring". 16 civil society organizations from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi participated in the webinar. The aim of this webinar was to introduce the representatives of the Civic Forum to the complex process and stages of composing the grant applications. Participants received information that will help them to better design and formulate a project idea.

On February 21, a training on Regional needs assessment with participation of wider civil society for implementation of roadmap (PAR) at local level was held. The training was organized by the Fund of Women Entrepreneurs in the Hotel “Bagrati 1003”, Kutaisi.

16 civil society organizations from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi participated in the training.

Acquired theoretical knowledge and practical work give training participants the opportunity to use gained experience to better identify needs for the implementation of the Roadmap (PAR).

A training on “Public Administration Reform (PAR) Roadmap and implementation of the PAR roadmap monitoring at municipal level” was held for the CSO Forum members on January 17, within the framework of the project “A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap monitoring”.

The training participants received information on planning and implementation of a civil monitoring at the municipal level and the monitoring mechanism, developed by the project implementing organizations.

Based on the monitoring mechanism, the CSO from eight target municipalities will carry out PAR monitoring in their respective municipalities.

Women Support Centers of the Fund “Sukhumi” successfully carry out small projects in their municipalities. Starting from the new year, they will begin to work on new projects. And before that, a three-day training for mobilizers was held in Borjomi on: “Project Design and Management”. They shared their experiences with each other, talked about achievements and challenges. Strategic directions were developed at the training. During the working process, with a combination of theory and practice, the mobilizers were given the opportunity to individually develop project proposals.

4 trainings on: “The role of the police in prevention of violence and protection of the victim” was held for the officers of criminal and patrol police of 10 municipalities of Imereti: Tskaltubo, Samtredia, Zestaponi and Chiatura.

The training was attended by 101 police officers. The following topics were discussed: law enforcement agencies, as a guarantor for the safety of the victim of domestic violence, mechanisms of effective use of the legislative and legal framework, gender aspects of communication and cooperation with the victim.

The training was organized by the Human Doc Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Fund “Sukhumi”.

- Identification of the problem of violence, communication with the child and referral stages, legal mechanisms and the role of teachers in violence prevention, international documents - topic of four-day training was carried out on the background of interactive inclusions and live discussions.

According to participants, the training was a good opportunity for them to analyze the consequences of domestic violence, and to think about preventive mechanisms.

The training was held on July 10-13 in Kobuleti. The topic: "The role of teachers in violence  prevention and the protection to the victim." Teachers from various schools of six municipalities of Imereti took part in it: Tskaltubo, Khoni, Terjola, Samtredia, Vani and Bagdati.
