The action against gender violence was joined by Ozurgeti Gender Advisory Council and the Club of Women Voters. They organized peaceful action in front of the City Hall, which was joined by the representatives of local self-government, young people. The Mayor of the city expressed readiness of the government in prevention of the problem.

The action was aired by the local TV.

16 day campaign in Tskaltubo opened with the action. Feel Responsibility – Stop Violence! Women has the right to live without violence! Similar slogans were fixed by the people, who gathered in front of the sports palace. They expressed protest against violence towards the women. The action was participated by representatives of local self-government, activists of the Women Support Center and the Club of Women voters.

The annual international informational campaign "16 active days against violence towards the women" Started.

In recent years, the campaign is carried out with the slogan "From peace in the home - to peace in the world."

This year fund "Sukhumi" has a face of campaign - the winner of Georgia Super League 2015-2016 - basketball club "Kutaisi - 2010". Hundreds of leaflets, calendars were printed.

Fund "Sukhumi" - 6 Women's Support Centers, 8 Club of Women-Voters, 3 Gender Advisory Councils, 6 youth clubs, forum-theater – will conduct hundreds of events in towns and villages of West Georgia in frames of 16 day campaign.

The international campaign of “!6 active days against gender violence” was held in Poti. It was attended by the activists of the Women Support Center and members of the youth club. On of their main slogans was: “Healthy Life-Style – for non-violence environment”.
