Medical activity in Tskaltubo
Very often women have neither money nor time to pay attention to their health, so the Women Fund “Sukhumi” held a large-scale medical activity in frames of the campaign “16 Active Days Against Gender-based Violence”.
The first location was Tskaltubo – IDP women received free consultations with a family doctor, mammologist, gynecologist and passed medical examination.
A group of doctors talked about the negative impact of violence, reproductive health, the importance of early diagnosis of breast cancer and screening programs.
The medical campaign aroused great interest in the IDP community. The women expressed their gratitude.
Representatives of the City Hall, the Gender Equality Council and Tskaltubo Medical Center took part in the activity.
The campaign is carried out with the support of the European Union and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) within the framework of the EU4Dialogue project.
