"Stereotypes equally affect people of all ages, if young people believe that a woman should be in the family, it turns out that they are also under the influence of stereotypes - this is Nuri. He is the main analyst of the group. He is interested in everything that happens around him. His idea was to conduct an online survey among young people within the project and study their attitude. This survey showed that there is still a lot of work to be done with young people.
"Where the woman's place should be? In the family, or in the society? It should be determined by the woman herself and no one else - this is Nini. She created a small picture for the project and expressed the position of young people.
This small project opened up new opportunities for the group members. Meetings with women politicians, popularization of their stories, was just such an opportunity for Lika:
"We had a meeting with successful women, members of the City Council. We listened to their stories, how they came to politics, what way they passed and what they achieved. We saw that this path is not an easy one. We should know their stories. It is very necessary for the youth".
A photo contest on the topic: "Gender in politics and society" was a new opportunity for the group members. They were looking for the topic of gender balance and imbalance in their town: in transport, in the street, in the market, in the park, in the City Hall, in the City Council... This is how the photos a woman taxi driver, women's volleyball, woman car repairer, women City Council members and others appeared in their photos..... Their main assessment was: "We looked at the street, environment, people in a different way... we found gender around us... it was very interesting".
The sub-grant project was finished: it lasted only two months, but it gave the young people the experience, information, new visions and questions to continue thinking about the issues, they gathered while working on the project.
