Marina Stepanenko: The regularity of meetings for refugees from Ukraine allows women to feel stability and confidence that there is a place where they are welcome and where they will be heard. There are women who constantly attend individual meetings and this helps them to normalize their condition. Each time the conversation concerns different topics - feelings about news from home, problems of adaptation in a new place, family relationships and others. All this becomes easier to go through when you feel support.
Anna Shalimova: I recently started to work. It's good that I was given this opportunity. I met with women and told them that we would have psychological sessions, they were very glad. Women have many problems - adaptation in a new place, caring for children, worries about those who remained in Ukraine, they listen to all the information with fear ... Children need help. They have a fear of the sounds of airplanes, large cars, noise... Of course, their parents work with them, but the work of a psychologist gives more effect.
Psychologists say that all beneficiaries have the same worries: part of the heart, soul is there, in Ukraine - with parents, husbands, brothers, close people and the second part is here. With the help of kind people and psychologists, pain, resentment, heaviness, stress, worry are decreased...
The project is implemented with the support of the organization Brot
