Informational meetings of the youth clubs were held in the Women Support Center of Khoni, School No7 of Poti and No 1 of Tskaltubo.

Topic of Georgian-Abkhazian conflict was interesting not only for the young IDPs, but also for the local youth. They were involved in the discussion, remembered real histories, spoke about conflict solution, negotiations, economical development, dialogue with the young generation.

“After such meetings we have more interest towards this issue and a wish to be more involved in the discussion. We can start relation with the new leaf”. – mentioned the young participants of the meeting.

In Senaki, the first meeting of the Club of Women-Voters was held. Together with the Club members the meeting was attended by members of Sakrebulo Nana Alania and Inga Kardava.

Participants got acquainted with the goals, objectives and activities provided by the project "The active involvement of women in the political life of Georgia through democratization of electoral processes."

There was held a discussion of local programs. The meeting raised specific issues and, together with members of Sakrebulo all the possible ways of their solution were discussed.

In Tskaltubo, Kutaisi, Koki (Zugdidi Municipality) there were held informational meetings of the youth clubs on the issue of advocacy, its role and meaning.

The young people, participants of the meeting noted that the issue is very important for them. They were actively involved in the discussion, spoke about their problems and ways of solution.

In Batumi, in the "House of Friendship" there was held a meeting of the Club of Women-Voters. During the meeting, there was a conversation about the resumption of the work of the club and plans for the future, about the aims and objectives of the new project. Participants shared opinions and ideas for productive work. It is very important for them to keep activeness of the club, which is very important for Batumi.

In Zugdidi, in the center of democratic inclusion there was the first meeting of the Club of Women-Voters. Participants of the meeting learned that in frames of the new project of the fund "Sukhumi" will work in clubs of 8 cities. They also received information about the work of the Fund "Sukhumi" on the implementation of local gender policy.

Members of the Club of Women-Voters approved a new project, and noted that they were ready to cooperate. In their view, the work should be focused on results.

Member of the Club of Voter Women – Lia Gvenetadze is a majoritarian candidate of Parliament. The club held an expanded meeting and invited a colleague. Mrs. Lia acquainted the participants with the program, said what she is going to change if elected as a Member of Parliament. Many points of the program are responses to the questions raised to Club. The participants talked about topical issues and received answers from the candidate.

On the topic - Perception of tolerance among teenagers for violence prevention - youth clubs informational meetings were held in Khoni, Senaki and Poti.

Participants talked about this interesting topic. Some of them pointed out that tolerance is mainly only words, as they often express aggression, can not take into account the needs and concerns of people of another nationality or faith.

One of the participants said: I really liked the connection of this issue with the prevention of violence. Really actual topic, and it can be discussed for a long time.

The club of Voter women updated its activities in Khobi. It became possible through financial support of the US Embassy in Georgia in the framework of the project "The active involvement of women in the political life of Georgia through democratization of electoral processes."

At the meeting, members of the Club were informed about the goals and objectives of a new project on the planned activities and expected results, about the club's past activities, successful examples of advocacy of local problems, etc.

It was held a discussion of future plans, in particular, to participate in training on the election campaign, the political system and the role of women. Also considered the organizational question of the silent action in support of women candidates in the parliamentary elections.

Khobi women are pleased that the activities of the Club will be re-activated, and together they will be able to solve many important problems.

In the meeting hall of Khoni Sakrebulo there was held the first meeting of the club of voter women. Meeting participants received information about the beginning of new project “Active involvement of women in political life of Georgia through democratization of election processes”, about the project gpoals and envisaged activities

It was mentioned a close cooperation with local self-government, political parties and media, about elaboration of recommendations and their advocacy.

The women are ready to active collaboration. They are sure, that the project will help to achieve changes in the municipality.

In frames of the project “Active involvement of women in political life of Georgia through democratization of election processes” in Tskaltubo there was created the Club of Voter Women.

During the first meeting the participants received information about project activities, the work of the clubs in other cities. They saw their role in identifying and advocating the problem.

The members of the Club of Voter Women are ready to facilitate the implementation of local gender policy.
