Forum-theater is an innovative method of work aimed at solving social problems through theatrical performances. The Youth Forum-Theater of the Fund "Sukhumi" has been working since 2009 and conducts performances on topical issues (conflicts, violence) in 4 regions of Western Georgia (Imereti, Samegrelo, Guria, Adjara).
The Theater of Shadows held two performances in Tskaltubo Municipality - in kindergarten No. 4 and in the kindergarten of the village of Partkhanakanevi. The play "Pirimze" was shown. The children were very cheerful. They saw that everyone should be equal, and friendship always defeats evil.

The project "Promoting non-violent conflict resolution among youth through trainings in Western Georgia" is coming to its completion.
In February, the forum theater took place and discussions were held with young people on different types of conflict. Interest everywhere was high, as the conflict accompanies our everyday life.
Discussions were held at the Youth Resource Center of Ozurgeti, at the Batumi University, in the public schools of Senaki, Khoni, Poti and Koki (Zugdidi Municipality).

In October, the forum-theater of the Fund "Sukhumi" was held. Young actors were first at school # 1 in the village Geguti (Tskaltubo municipality). Teenagers received visitors with interest. These ideas for them were new and unusual. It was played 4 scenes. An active discussion did not take place, but the audience was asked to come again and meet with a wider audience.
The second meeting was held in Kutaisi, in the park of love. There were 6 scenes played. There was an active discussion, involvement of participants, a conversation about their own problems. The actors listened to stories that after some period will become forum theater presentations.

Six shows of the forum-theater of the Fund "Sukhumi" with interesting discussions and stories were shown in the central park of Senaki. After the scene, built on the conflict between mother and daughter, the discussion lasted more than 20 minutes. This is how the viewers express their interest in the forum theater and the questions posed to them.

In the Central Park of Khoni, the forum theater took place: 5 scenes and interesting discussions after each stage. Especially remembering was the young woman's talk and a request for help. She is a victim of violence, and does not know how to behave. The actors of the forum-theater gave her the address of Khoni Center for Women Support of the Fund "Sukhumi" and said that there is an opportunity to receive free psychological and legal services.

On August 26 in the central park of Kutaisi there was held a presentation of the forum-theatre. The topic for discussion was the scene of conflict between father and children,
On August 27 in the square of Tskaltubo there was held a forum-theatre. During the scene of domestic violence the policemen came and asked what was happening. One of the actors gave information about the forum-theatre. They quite rudely said that similar scenes should be played in the theatre as there are many tourist in the city and they will not understand.
The audience of the forum-theatre was not only youth, but also adults. During these meetings there were interesting discussions. The audience listened with attention.

Zugdidi was especially crowded with the reason of national examinations. This day coincided with the arrival of the forum-theater. The actors played 5 shows in the central park. For the viewer, this was unusual and surprising. Many of them, especially men, said that such things do not happen. During the discussion it was noted that, unfortunately, all scenes are taken from real life. The purpose of the forum-theater is to show the viewer this reality, and society should contribute to the eradication of violence against women/
Teachers, director, parents were spectators, who after the first stage of the forum-theater actively joined the discussion. They frankly began to talk about their problems. In total, 6 scenes were shown. In three scenes the teacher and the parent played the role of the victim, and offered the viewers the versions for solving the problem. Their inclusion made a presentation of the forum theater particularly fruitful in the school of the village Koki (Zugdidi municipality).
June 1 - International Children's Day. In this day, the theater of shadows at the forum-theater of the Fund "Sukhumi" came to visit kindergarten "Varsklavavebi" (stars). For children it was a real holiday - they first saw such a performance. Young actors congratulated the kids on the children's day.
A special spectacle was offered to the children by the shadow theater of the Fund "Sukhumi" in the school № 1 of Tskaltubo. Up to 100 primary school pupils enjoyed the musical, colorful play "Pirimze", which is an exclusive of the fund “Sukhumi” - was created for children on the topic of equality.
Performance pleased the audience. The teachers noted that this is an original cognitive performance that showed the children the power of friendship and equality.
