Two-day training on "Business Planning and Management of Small/Macro Businesses" was held at Women Fund “Sukhumi” office in Kutaisi.
Good business ideas don't usually come to entrepreneurs spontaneously. They are the result of painstaking work, effort, research, discussions, surveys, and often the entrepreneur's own creative thinking.
Therefore, the women listened attentively to the trainer: what can an inspiration for a good business idea? How can a successful business idea be developed?
Graduates from day centers of Chokhatauri, Senaki, Terjola, and Kutaisi were active participants of the training. They reflected on their own projects, calculated budgets, shared experiences, discussed the prospects of their future businesses...
The next stage will be a discussion of their business ideas.

The Forum Theatre worked actively in December. Performances were held indoors, outdoors and in parks.
During all performances, discussions were held. The audience spoke about the need for public awareness, which helps reduce violence.
Young actors joined the 16-day campaign and loudly and theatrically condemned violence, calling on audiences to prevention.
Our organization's Forum Theatre has new plans for the New Year. New performances will be added to existing ones, and performances will be held for new audiences, addressing serious issues of conflict and violence—again, using the language of theatre.

How to explain to a child the expected changes associated with parents’ migration, the importance of emotional support, and the necessity of regular communication between parent and child.
These topics were discussed by a psychologist at a meeting organized as part of a civic initiative in Chokhatauri. Members of the "Grandmothers' Club"—active and energetic grandmothers who understand the impact of parental migration on children—participated.
The meeting was attended by active participants. The psychologist provided recommendations on all issues. The meeting achieved its goal—the grandmothers were very satisfied.

We love our slogan: Peace at home and peace in the world!
In recent years, one of the slogans of the 16-day campaign was "From peace at home to peace in the world."
We gave this good wish and call a more Georgian explanation: Peace at home and peace outside! (Similar to: "Sun in, sun out, Sun, come to my home").
During the campaign, 43 news items were published on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/WFSukhumi. We informed readers about the goal and essence of the campaign, the dates during the campaign, and our activities. We also shared photos and videos from our extensive archive. All publications were accompanied by the messages of protest against violence.

During the 16-day campaign, debates and meetings of various formats were held, thematic film screenings and discussions were organized, and films with social messages were created.
Community leaders actively shared essential information with meeting participants—about rights and services that support women under the risk of violence.
The main focus of the activities was preventing violence against women, raising awareness, and ensuring a safe, non-violent environment.
People of different generations and positions were involved in the process. Against the background of the international protest, their message resonated even louder: No to violence against women!

The final meeting in Senaki was very joyful. The basic course of cutting and sewing has completed. Over the past two months, the women have learned a lot and received certificates.
Each of them received a solid theoretical and practical basis, and now everything depends on their diligence.

Violence is evil! We condemn violence! We will not allow conflict escalation!
This is precisely what these young women and men messaged us during the 16-Day Campaign. After the training sessions, members of the Youth Empowerment Centers organized mini-campaigns in their schools, held informational meetings with peers, distributed relevant materials, and thus added their voice of protest to the campaign of "16 Active Days Against Gender-based Violence".

On December 4, at the Kutaisi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Women’s Fund “Sukhumi” held a regional conference within the global “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaign. The event aimed to summarize long-standing practices in violence prevention and response, as well as the key results from 2025.
Around 70 participants attended from 10 municipalities across Imereti, Guria, Samegrelo, and Adjara, including mobilizers of Women’s Support Centers, para-specialists of social work, youth groups, civil society organizations, and international partners.
Discussions explored violence prevention not only through individual cases but also within broader systemic and structural contexts.
The conference featured three thematic panels:
On-the-ground work with women’s groups
Risk identification, first-line support, trauma response, and strengthening community-based mechanisms.
Youth-led initiatives
Youth representatives presented campaigns and community projects, highlighting the new generation’s motivation and ability to contribute to positive change.
Work with women survivors of violence
Focus areas: psychological support, economic empowerment, rehabilitation services, media literacy, and digital safety.
A key insight from the final discussion was that technology-facilitated abuse is one of the fastest-growing threats in 2025, including online surveillance, cyberbullying, unauthorized account access, and digital manipulation.

During the final meeting, the graduates presented their very beautiful works. Two months of training, work, and internship at Kutaisi Day Center completed successfully. Alongside their studies, they periodically attended group and individual therapy sessions with a psychologist. This is precisely why the women achieved such good results: they mastered a new profession, increased their self-esteem, expressed satisfaction and gratitude, received certificates. They hope that they will apply their acquired knowledge in practice.

Based on the findings of our monitoring report, "Why do Women Leave?" (https://fsokhumi.ge/index.php/ka/publikacia/informatia-zaladobis-tsinaagmdeg/item/15769-2025-07-08-16-30-02), the monitoring and advocacy group held a series of discussions and consultative meetings in collaboration with community leaders and youth in ten municipalities and then developed civic initiatives:
Zugdidi (village Khurcha) - "Information Campaign on Migration in Three Villages of Zugdidi Municipality"
Senaki - "Economic Empowerment of Women for Migration Prevention"
Vani - "Information for Women Empowerment"
Chokhatauri - "Together We Will Overcome Everything"
Khoni - "Common Initiatives to Prevent Migration"
Khobi - "Intergenerational Dialogue to Prevent Migration"
The photos clearly demonstrate how impressive is the work done on these initiatives. In Chokhatauri, a space for informal meetings to continue the dialogue was created. A children's corner wasa opened in the Khoni community education center, allowing children to have fun while their parents study. In Khobi, the organization “Toliskuri” purchased books and opened a reading club as part of the initiative. In Khurcha, women already have their own printer, enabling them to print informational and other necessary materials. Manicure classes were opened in Seneki.
The goals of the initiatives are to raise awareness on the social and emotional consequences of migration, reduce the negative impact of migration, promote healthy relationships between adolescents and migrant parents, strengthen the practical skills of IDP women, and expand employment opportunities.
