The topic of solidarity was discussed at the information meetings held by the Women Support Centers,

- Of course, we are worried about the war in Ukraine. Solidarity means compassion, support, help. We are in solidarity with the Ukrainian people – noted the participants.

The meetings highlighted the examples of women's solidarity. They remembered the history of March 8, women's movements in Georgia.

The meetings in the Women Support Centers of Tsalenjikha, Senaki, Terjola, Tkibuli and Khurcha (Zugdidi municipality) were attended by women of different ages and professions. Their position is as follows: we, women, especially feel the cruelty of war. We all want peace and express solidarity.

440 participants attended summarizing meetings from five municipalities (Samtredia, Tkibuli, Terjola, Vani, Zugdidi): members of the Youth Empowerment Center, their parents and teachers, school directors, representatives of the Youth Department and the Gender Equality Council of the Municipality.

It was a kind of report of the relationship with the Fund "Sukhumi" and six months of active work.

What was done? What did the students learn? How will thy use the knowledge in practice?

The young people answered these questions with presentations and showed their experience, acquired skills, new opportunities to the online audience.

- I overcame complexes, I became active, I learned a lot, I did it independently, I have changed - these words were heard in the speeches of young people.

The invited guests spoke about the positive impact and changes, they praised the work of the Fund "Sukhumi".

Tamar Kavtaradze is a journalist, an operator of the Mega TV, winner of the competition "Journalists - for Social Changes"...

The hero of another video of the Women Fund "Sukhumi" is Tamar, a multimedia journalist who takes a TV camera everywhere and destroyed the stereotype that the profession of an operator is not a woman's business.

Gender stereotypes are the views spread in society about the roles of women and men. Such stereotypes limit the opportunities for women and men to develop their personal skills and determine their professional choice.

Kursebi (Tkibuli Municipality) Public School – here the Women Fund "Sukhumi" has established a youth empowerment center. The authors of the book are active members of this center. They passed a six-month training course on conflict management, violence prevention and gender equality.

The beneficiaries of the rehabilitation center of the Women Fund "Sukhumi" were congratulated on Mother's Day by Kutaisi branch of McDonald's Georgia.

Gifts, entertainment, the colorful world of McDonald's, memorable photos - it was a joyful  holiday for children together with their mothers, which will be the most beautiful memory for them.

The Women Fund "Sukhumi" has a solid history of charity. Several acts of kindness were carried out together with Kutaisi branch of McDonald's Georgia, and this has become a tradition.

This photo was taken on the Saberio-Pakhulani dividing line as a sign of solidarity to Ukraine.

This symbolic action was carried out by the participants of the training. Pakhulani Day Rehabilitation Center (Tsalenjikha Municipality) has successfully completed cutting and sewing courses. With the support of the Women Fund “Sukhumi”, women acquired the necessary knowledge and skills. The first graduates took part in a two-day training, which discussed the issues of business planning and writing business projects. The authors of the best business ideas, will be awarded with issue small grants by the organization, so that women can start their own business.

- I am 33. I have never felt so happy and comfortable in my life, day by day the weight of the bricks is removed from my shoulders, it is already easier to breathe, - said one of the beneficiaries of the rehabilitation center of the Women Fund “Sukhumi”.

Now there are 8 people in the center - women and children from different regions of Western Georgia.

These are families living below the poverty line. All of them are the victims of domestic violence and have gone through suffer and trauma. Our center has all conditions for a peaceful stay. A social worker, a lawyer and a psychologist work with them. Women and their children pass complex daily intensive psycho-rehabilitation therapy. All this helps them to relieve stress, become stronger, think about the prospects for the

From the diary of the psychologist of the Women Fund "Sukhumi"  - Manana Gotsiridze:

Kh. 28 years old: “After the divorce, life stopped for me. Everything was gray, dull, meaningless. I often thought why to live after such a shame. My mother was crying with me, my mother’s friend found us in such condition and advised me to address the psychologist of the Fund “Sukhumi” for help. For almost eight months I learned to look at the world in a new way. I don’t know how to express my gratitude not only for returning a smile on my face, but also for the light in my mother’s eyes. We are happy".
