Good results and great support

Another meeting of the women's mutual support group in Vani ended with a good result - the problem of one of the victims of domestic violence was solved. After our meetings, she became stronger, there was constructive cooperation with the local government - all this helped to solve the problem and gave the group motivation that the condition of many women will improve.

Members of Zugdidi and Chokhatauri women groups became active. Women mutual support group of Kobuleti in cooperation with the Gender Equality Council solved the problem of one of the participants, which seemed to be very difficult to them. Terjola group actively participated in grant competitions, the members of the group have great support from the Fund "Sukhumi" and the local self-government.

The project assistant held meetings in Chokhatauri, Tskaltubo, Zugdidi, Kobuleti and Vani, and the group leaders held meetings in the other five municipalities.

In April, the members of the group received new necessary information. Psychologist of the Women Fund "Sukhumi" Ekaterine Kvachakidze works in direction of increasing the self-estimation of women and changing stereotyped thinking. The assistant distributed clothes and products in several places. They note that this is a big support for socially vulnerable people.

The general picture is following: the members of the groups have changed, they talk more about their problems, they cooperate more with the state structures, and the achieved results give more confidence to each of them.
