The round table in Chokhatauri City Hall was attended by the officials of the City Hall, law enforcement agencies, representatives of the education sector and various departments that work on issues of violence against women and children and are members of the interdepartmental commission on the prevention of violence against women and / or domestic violence, protection and assistance to victims of violence.
The meeting participants spoke about the facts of femicide, the problem of domestic violence and the importance of cooperation with local structures. Attention was focused on the ways of referencing, the importance of inter-agency cooperation and coordination, which will contribute to the prevention of violence.

The monitoring group studies the effectiveness of preventive measures (instruments) implemented by local authorities to identify, protect, assist and rehabilitate victims of violence against women and/or domestic violence.
In order to improve the efficiency of the self-government, recommendations will be developed that define the necessary strategies and new approaches to strengthen preventive mechanisms.
In February, 15 in-depth interviews and 3 focus groups were conducted with teachers, mobilizers of Womens Support Centers, representatives of local governments, victims of violence and various referral entities at the local level.

To assess the effectiveness and achievements of project activities, the monitoring group actively conducts internal monitoring. Lessons learned will also be identified, conclusions will be drawn and recommendations will be developed to improve the work.
An online survey in 10 target municipalities covered the direct beneficiaries of the project. To obtain qualitative information, 6 in-depth interviews and 4 focus groups were conducted with the participation of representatives of target city groups.
The monitoring participants emphasized the importance of the web page https://sosfsokhumi.ge/. It was noted that this is a serious information base in terms of domestic violence, and it was considered a priority to increase the scale of its popularization.

They analyzed the situation in the municipality in terms of violence and focused on the prospects for social cooperation.

At the same time, prospects for cooperation between the Fund and the Gender Council were discussed.
Together with members of the Gender Council, a dialogue was held with the Deputy Mayor of the municipality. The conversation touched upon the work on the gender equality strategy and the action plan. It was noted that an interdepartmental commission on the issues of violence against women and domestic violence was created in the executive authorities - this will become the basis of local activities for the prevention of violence and the protection of victims.

In the framework of the global 16-day campaign against gender-based violence, the monitoring group of the Women Fund "Sukhumi" held an information meeting in the school of the village Etseri (Terjola municipality), which was attended by teachers and upper graders.
The meeting focused on the importance of the problem of violence and the timeliness of the response. The participants got acquainted with the monitoring results of the work of departments for the protection of children's rights and their support. There was a conversation about the services, achievements and tasks of the department. It was revealed that many people do not know about the departments, so it is necessary to disseminate information. It was considered important that departments have the resources to empower vulnerable families.
