On May 14, another final conference was held online with participation of representatives of local self-government.
The project participants shared the experience gained in the process of implementing the “Voter’s Advice Application” and talked about the introduction and use of a similar platform during future elections.
The guests were actively involved in the discussion and expressed their opinions regarding the importance of the application in terms of informing the population and increasing political trust, as well as the need for its introduction during the elections of local self-government and prospects for the future. They also stressed the importance of cooperating with local media.
The lessons of working on polymer clay in the Day Rehabilitation Center of the Fund "Sukhumi" came to its end. Participants presented products created during the project period. They briefly talked about themselves, about positive results and experiences that they have received in the working process - both in terms of development and personal relationships. The presentation turned out to be impressive and was interesting for the staff of the Fund "Sukhumi".
A two-day training was held for the beneficiaries of the Day Rehabilitation Center of the Fund "Sukhumi". During the training they discussed the status of an individual entrepreneur, calculating the cost of production. They also received information about donor organizations, and where they can participate to receive a grant.
According to participants, the training was useful and fruitful for them, as the knowledge gained will be useful to them in practice.

Atraining for healthcare personnel from Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti was organized by the Fund “Sukhumi” on August 14-17 in Batumi. The topics of the trainings were: reasons of domestic violence, violence against children, psycho-emotional aspects, prevention of domestic violence, interdepartmental cooperation, legal mechanisms. All important issues that will help to strengthen the healthcare personnel in the management of prevention and response to these cases were discussed.
The work is carried out within the framework of the partnership project “Reinforcing the Domestic Violence Prevention System, Victims Support and Perpetrators Therapy System”.

What is the structure of our target groups and social norms, the anatomy of gender-based violence: how to timely diagnose domestic violence and minimize the risks; how the mechanisms for the elimination of domestic violence work in practice; how to transform the consciousness of society: what is the role of public campaigns in terms of responding / prevention of violence.
This is an incomplete list of issues that the trainers of the Fund "Sukhumi" worked on during a three-day online training with a motivated, highly qualified group "SOS Children's Village Zugdidi", and also outlined plans for the future.
- How to strengthen families, how to avoid violence and alienation between family members, so that all children grow up in a full, safe environment, how to destroy stereotypes, against the background of existing mental relationships, what should be changed and introduced in the process of working with male beneficiaries; who are our partners in this issue and with whom to cooperate - on these and other issues the training group of the Fund "Sukhumi" conducted a two-day training in the "SOS Children's Village Kutaisi".
The training is the first cooperation between the Fund "Sukhumi" and "SOS Children's Village Georgia". This type of partnership will help to expand and enhance the family strengthening component.
On July 17-19, the training on "Strategy of Family Strengthening in the Context of Municipal Services" was held in Borjomi hosted a training session on "Family Strengthening Strategy in the Context of Municipal Services".
The training was attended by representatives of local governments from 11 municipalities of Western Georgia (Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Senaki, Zugdidi, Poti, Ozurgeti, Lanchkhuti, Terjola, Tsalenjikha, Kobuleti).
Representatives of the municipalities made presentations. Actual topics were discussed at the training, among them: the state strategy against violence towards the women / domestic violence, the role of self-government, local el-services in the context of the COVID-19 crisis, improving municipal services and strengthening of families.
The strategies developed during the training will help to strengthen the families.
What is PR? What do we need it for? What methods and tools should we use to promote the organization’s activities? How to spread information in order to cover more audiences?
An online training on these topics was held within the framework of the project “A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap monitoring”.
The training was attended by representatives of three partner organizations implementing the project: the Fund “Sukhumi”, the Fund of Women Entrepreneurs, the Imereti Scientists’ Union, and 16 civil society organizations.
The online meeting was held in an interactive mode - participants put questions, expressed opinions, and discussed specific examples.

In May, training webinars were held on: “Violence against children - model of a school free from violence.”
Participants: teachers from the regions of Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti and Shida Kartli.
Issues discussed: bullying and violence, stigma and stereotypes, effective communication, prevention of bullying, monitoring of a safe school.
The webinar was conducted by the Human Doc Foundation, in collaboration with the Friendship Bridge “Kartlosi” and the Fun “Sukhumi”, in the framework of the project “Strengthening the domestic violence prevention system, protection of the victim and therapy for the rapist”.
16 small projects were funded in frames of the project “A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap monitoring”.
Eight municipalities in Western Georgia have already begun implementing these projects.
Additional online training on financial reporting and accounting was held for the representatives of civil society forum member organizations.
This training will help civil society organizations to properly manage the finances of projects funded by the Fund “Sukhumi”.
