Khoni and Terjola civil society organizations completed another stage - they carried out important work in terms of local needs research. Questionnaires, in-depth interviews and 4 focus groups were conducted.

Following actors participated in the work:

Organizations of Khoni Municipality: IDP Initiative Group and the Center for Education and Development “Edelweiss”.

Organizations of Terjola Municipality: Union for the Protection of Children's Rights and Civic Education "Children - the Future of Georgia" and "Women for the Future of Georgia".

All organizations invited representatives from target groups. There were productive, interesting meetings - some - online, and some with the direct presence of the participants - despite the difficult situation. Audio material and reports were also prepared.

The work is being carried out in the framework of the project “A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap monitoring”.

The grant competition announced for the CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi within the framework of the EU-supported project, was finished.

The grant competition results were summarized at the meeting of the competition commission. 16 local CSOs were given the opportunity to implement various interesting projects and ideas that will raise the civil society role in the implementation of the Public Administration Reform at the local level.

The work is carried out in the framework of the project “A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap monitoring”.

“Online Vote-O-Meter for 2020 Georgian Parliamentary Elections” - This project of the Fund “Sukhumi” envisages the creation of the first online voting system in Georgia - to inform voters before the elections. Due to the state of emergency, the organization is actively working online.

The staff of the Fund informed the representatives of the political parties about the project and the possibility of joining it, which aroused their interest. The parties expressed their desire to cooperate. The organization continues to work in this direction.

Civil society organizations of Vani Municipality “Support 2020” and “Citizens' Activities for Good Governance and Justice”, as well as organizations of Bagdati Municipality: “Equality Now” “Civil Spectrum - Equality” have completed work on in-depth interviews and questionnaires. As a result of this work, the needs of vulnerable groups living in Vani and Bagdati municipalities were identified.

Work is being carried out in the framework of the project “A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap monitoring”.

In terms of needs assessments, these organizations still have much to do.

Fruitful and important work was carried out by civil society organizations of Khoni and Terjola municipalities in terms of local needs assessment.

The quarantine created many problems, especially in Terjola municipality, but despite this, the process went well and the work was completed timely. Questionnaires and in-depth interviews in Khoni municipality were carried out by: The IDPs initiative group and the Center for Education and Development “Edelweiss”, and in Terjola municipality by: The Union for the Protection of Children's Rights and Civic Education “Children are the Future of Georgia” and the organization “Women for the Future of Georgia”.

Consultative meetings with civil society organizations of Imereti were held for several days. The trainer-consultant Ekaterine Gamakharia held online consultations. The organizations from Terjola, Khoni, Vani and Bagdati participated in the meetings.

In the beginning, online consultation was held with the following organizations from Terjola: Union for the Protection of Children's Rights and Civic Education “Children - the Future of Georgia” and the new organization “Women's Initiative Group”.

The following meeting was held with participation of the organizations from Khoni Municipality: IDP Initiative Group and the Center for Education and Development “Edelweiss”.

The consultations held for the civil society organizations of Vani and Bagdati municipalities included the following organizations: "Support 2020", "Citizens' Activity for Effective Governance and Justice", "Equality Now" and the Union of Persons with Disabilities "Faith and Hope".

The members of partner organizations together with the consultant talked about grant and financial issues. The principles for submitting grant applications were reviewed.

An online consultation was held for applicant organizations, working in Tsageri and Ambrolauri municipalities regarding the filling rules of draft project application forms. The Fund of Women Entrepreneurs organized a consultation of a highly qualified specialist Ekaterine Gamakharia, who held a training / webinar on the topic "Development of Projects and Grant Applications" on April 22. In addition to organizations from Racha-Lechkhumi the webinar was attended by civil society organizations of Guria and Imereti.

The project “Online Vote-O-Meter for 2020 Georgian Parliamentary Elections” was well thought out and planned from the very beginning. The state of emergency regarding the Covid-19 virus has made this project even more urgent, but there have also been obstacles.

During the online meetings the project participants are looking for new ways to make the project more successful. During the ordinary meeting, the following issues related to the introduction of the online platform "Voter Advice Application" were discussed: to conduct a training by a Polish trainer - this time online; They online work will be started with political parties - they will be informed about the introduction of application and the needs identified in pandemic situation.

During the meeting, special attention  was paid to preparation of the video - the animation will show the voters the essence of the online platform, its importance for a successful choice and will give proper instructions.

Within the framework of the project “A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap monitoring”, Imereti Scientists’ Union "Spectri" held another consultative meeting with the representatives of Guria Civil Society Organizations involved in the project.

Representatives of Lanchkhuti Information Center and the Georgian Rural Hall (Lanchkhuti), the Center for Education and Equality and the Young Teachers' Union (Ozurgeti) took an active part in the meeting.

The meeting discussed such issues as duration of the needs’ research in implementation of a roadmap for Public Administration Reform in Ozurgeti and Lanchkhuti municipalities and the process of preparation of project proposals for the grant competition. It should be noted that in both municipalities, the needs/research of various target groups is being successfully implemented. The process is coming to an end and its results will be announced in the near future.
