The Fund “Sukhumi” organized an online meeting with women living near the conflict separation line, in the village Pakhulani (Tsalenjikha municipality).

- The problems, existing in communities, the dangers that women feel in emergency situation- the discussion was held regarding these issues.

The participants noted a complex emotional background during these days in the villages near the conflict separation line. Particularly concerned are IDP families whose relatives live in Gali. Students have serious problems regarding the Internet.

Response to problems will also be continued on a distance.

According to the quarantine provision, the regular meeting of the partners of the project “A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap monitoring” - the Fund “Sukhumi” the organization “Spectri” and the Fund of Women Entrepreneurs was held online.

Information regarding health in a force majeure situation - both of the project partners and of the regional partner organizations was discussed. There was made a review of the project work and the results, challenges and necessities. They also talked about the narrative and financial reports, other organizational issues.

At the end of the meeting, future activities were planned: in terms of studying the needs of the project municipalities, their systematization, and development of results-oriented recommendations. The mechanisms for the implementation of plans based on existing reality were discussed in detail.

Representatives of Union of Scientists of the Imereti - "Spectri" held the first internet - meeting with a representative of the Young Teachers’ Union - Tamar Oniani in the framework of the project A common forum for CSOs from Guria, Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi for PAR Roadmap monitoring”.

 During the online meeting, issues related to organizing a quantitative survey with the aim of identifying the needs for implementation of the public administration reform roadmap in Ozurgeti municipality, were discussed. It should be noted that the project envisages to conduct the survey of at least 150 respondents. Due to the situation regarding COVID-19 in the country, the partner organization in Ozurgeti will mainly use Google Drive capabilities, but in case of necessity, the phone calls can also be made. In accordance with the demands of emergency situation, project partners stay homeand continue to work to through various communication tools in order to achieve their goals.

Despite state of Emergencies declared in Georgia due to the Covid-19 virus, the Fund “Sukhumi” continues implementation of the project "Online Voice Electronic Counter for Parliamentary Elections 2020" supported by the International Visegrad Fund.

The project team switched to online-work mode. An advocacy strategy was developed, which outlines detailed ways and approaches for cooperation with political parties, as well as a specific action plan for informing citizens about the “online Voting Meter” enhancing their electoral activity.

In response to the current challenges, the advocacy strategy sets out an action plan for online/distant cooperation with political parties and citizens, defines specific state institutions, decision makers, civil society representatives with whom Fund Sukhumi will actively cooperate and pursue achievement of the project goals and objectives – raising awareness of citizens in electoral process and programs/platforms of political parties and to the best possible extent ensure their participation in the 2020 parliamentary elections.

Fund "Sukhumi" started an active online work. The staff has constant communication with each other, they created joint chats. More often, general meetings are held. With the help of  the Internet platform, they share with each other information about how they work with beneficiaries, talk about plans, and about project activities.

The organization works in on-line mode since March 16, and uses on-line methods quite effectively. The active work of all circles of the organization is reflected on the facebook page and web page.

Another meeting - this time in Terjola took place. The project assistant met with members of civil society organizations. Workig plans related to the survey were reviewed. They also talked about target groups, volunteers who will work with certain groups.

All services of the Fund "Sukhumi" are carried out on a distance. Online consultations with the couples are also held. Participants believe that the emotional background in the country creates favorable conditions for the development of family conflicts.

- How to manage negative emotions, how to improve communication with each other, how to avoid family conflicts - consultations mainly related to these issues.

On March 11, a working meeting with local civil society organizations was held in Vani Municipality. The meeting discussed the results of the monitoring of the implementation of the Public Administration Reform # PAR at local level and identified recommendations.

A process of survey was planned to assess regional needs for implementation of the Roadmap #PAR at the local level.

The process of local needs assessment started in Khoni. The working meeting regarding these issues was held with the participation of civil society organizations – the Center of Education and Development of Khoni “Edelweiss” and Khoni IDP Initiative Group.

Issues related to the collection of quantitative data, in particular the surveys, were discussed. The work was distributed to both organizations: “Edelweiss” and the IDP Initiative Group.

On March 11, a meeting with members of the civil society organizations "Support Now" and the "Faith and Hope" Union of People with Disabilities was held in Baghdati municipality. During the meeting, members of the organization discussed the recommendations identified as a result of the monitoring of Public Administration Reform # PAR at local level. A survey process was planned to assess the regional needs.
