On February 6 in Tskhaltubo gathered Women's Initiative Group. Members of the group got acquainted with the work schedule of the year. They talked about the problems existing in Tskhaltubo. The list includes social issues, the regulation of which is possible from the local budget. It was noted that human security is quite problematic and in this regard, it is important to continue the work.
According to members of the Initiative Group, it is necessary to inform society about the local budget programs. The initiative group in parallel with community informing, will monthly work on advocacy of the issues.
Women initiative groups actively work in Kutaisi and Tskaltubo, conduct informational meetings with representatives of different society specters.
Based on the advocacy plan, it is already completed the phase of collecting signatures and sending the letters to the addressees.
Each group analyzed the advocacy plan and made changes, taking into account the reality. In order to speed up the process of advocacy, additional activities are planned: meetings with representatives of local government, with lobbyists.
10 December - International Human Rights Day - the last day of the campaign of "16 active days against violence towards women." To this date Women's Support Centre of Poti linked its mini-project "Prevention of violence through the promotion of healthy lifestyles."
The activists of the Center conducted the preparatory work, printed poster-calendar with the slogan "Unite against violence against women!" In the picture - the team "Palawan" freestyle fighters of school in Poti.
On December 10 Women's Support Centre organized a wrestling match. It was the final event of the project - interesting, sensitive and very effective. Information materials were distributed - everyone learned about the 16 day campaign and about a fact that everyone can and should contribute to the process of prevention of violence.
Women's Support Centre of Tskaltubo took guests, joined by local initiative groups of women. Women once again summarized the results of the Fund "Sukhumi" research, conducted identifying of local problems, allocated part of the priority issues and sauggested their own vision of their solution.
Reproductive health and serious argument of needs of Tskhaltubo maternity hospital; needs of mothers of inclusive children; the question of informing women, as a factor contributing to their socio-political activity - meeting drafted future advocacy strategy. Part of this strategy is the prospect of cooperation with the Gender Council of Tsqaltubo Municipality, which was established recently, and aims to improve the local gender policy.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Swedish Women's Foundation Kvinna till Kvinna, who expressed great interest in this work.
Women initiative groups of Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo worked for a whole month with the goal of advocating various issues.
Street lighting, road engraving in villages, asphalting, roof repairs, information meetings with different communities, communication with representatives of local authorities - during the reporting period initiative groups reflected exactly these issues.
Every problem solved, for which specific people are responsible, are in direct connection with the common goal - raising the level of human security in society.
On January 13 the fund “Sukhumi” invited the members of women initiative groups of Kutaisi.
-How the work should be continued, what methods should be established for raising the level of women security – discussion was held round these issues.
There was defined concrete strategy.
-There are lots of problems around us, which are not comfortable for the women.
Solution of the problems is possible through their involvement and activity.
-It is necessary to continue cooperation with local government. It is necessary issue in our work.
-It is necessary to inform the society regarding the issues of local budget and different social programs.
Initiative group will continue to work according the advocacy plan.

On April 6 in Tskaltubo there gathered women initiative group. The meeting participants heard information about a work, experience and achievements of the groups from other cities. Their comments identified that it is important for them to be aware of what is happening in Khoni and Kutaisi in order to reduce risks and achieve security so that they also use the experience of their colleagues in their work.
The women's initiative group of Tskaltubo is currently working on a new problem, which concerns the rehabilitation of the water pipe of the collective center of the hotel “Merani”. The moderator analyzed the process of advocacy and for its acceleration the members of the group prepared letters to various structures.
In the conference hall of Khoni Sakrebulo there gathered the members of Women Initiative Group. They familiarized with the working experience of Kutaisi and Tskaltubo Initiative Groups. By the opinion of the group members the problems are similar, therefore it is very important to find out how their advocacy in other cities is going on.
The women's initiative group is starting to work on a new problem - its advocacy will help to improve the level of human security.
In Kutaisi there was formatted women initiative group. It is composed by active women with leader skills. One of them is organizer, who will lead the work of the group.
Group members – activists of the fund “Sukhumi”, who participated in activities of different format. They passed workshops on the issues of human security. The group members have the experience of advocacy. They have a desire to work more in this direction in future – help themselves and others in solution of the problem, existing in the society.
Meeting of Ozurgeti Gender Advisory Council (GAC) was held in unusual format. For more media – response, it was attended by the journalists, specialists of the press service of local self-government.
Chairperson of the GAC Lela Natsvaladze submitted a report about meetings in frames of municipal “Program of Supporting villages”. It was underlined that it is a very low inclusion of women and accordingly gender needs are not raised. It was fixed an opinion that it is necessary to protect gender balance on similar meetings and it will promote to implementation of gender projects.
Lawyer of the GAC Tamaz Trapaidze submitted a report of conducted work. Attention was paid to the problems, which are advocated with difficulties. It was decided that members of the GAC will be actively involved in the process.
