An assistant of the Women Fund "Sukhumi" held meetings with women's mutual assistance groups in Tskaltubo, Vani, Zugdidi, Chokhatauri and Bagdati. In the remaining five municipalities - Terjola, Samtredia, Khoni, Tsalenjikha and Kobuleti - meetings were held by group leaders. The psychologist of the organization attended several meetings and conducted some work with women. In almost all groups, serious cases were identified and ways to solve them were outlined.

During the meeting held with the members of the women initiative group, the participants were informed about the start of the quantitative research "Assessment of the quality of human security of the population". Tasks were distributed among group members, after which people of different ages and professions were asked to send questions online. The members of the youth initiative group summarized the activities carried out according to the peace strategy. At the meeting, they once again noted the role of young people in the peace process and planned new events.

Tskaltubo a youth group held a discussion on the topic of peace. They talked about the role of young people in the peace process. The participants emphasized how important and necessary the participation of young people in peace activities is. The women initiative group was involved in the research process. Totally 150 beneficiaries were interviewed using the questionnaires. The research aims to assess the quality of human security in terms of gender.

 The members of Kutaisi women initiative group distributed their duties and responsibilities and started a quantitative research "Assessment of the quality of human security of the population". Kutaisi Youth Club members were trained on the topic "Peace, Youth Peaceful Initiatives". The participants received information about the importance of peace, participated in group exercises, developed peace initiatives and prepared presentations. Giorgi Khechinashvili, specialist of the USAID program management, advisor of the youth programs, representative or the department for Democracy, Human Rights and Governance, attended the training.

The members of the women initiative group of the village Pakhulani - Tsalenjikha municipality started the quantitative research "assessment of the quality of human security of the population". They have shared responsibilities and duties.

 "Assessment of the quality of human security" is the aim of the Fund "Sukhumi" research, which will be conducted by the members of the women initiative group in Senaki municipality. In the first stage, 150 people will be interviewed through online questionnaires of the quantitative research. In Senak, a training with the members of the youth group was held on the topic: peace, the role of young people in building peace. Participants discussed the importance of negotiation and communication using role games and interactive exercises. They talked about the peace initiatives of young people.

What skills are necessary to overcome the contradictions in the relationship, how to create a culture of peace in the society, what is the role and mission of the youth in this issue. - The members of Koki youth group mainly talked about these issues. The members of Koki women initiative group distributed the duties and responsibilities. The women started a research "Assessment of the quality of human security of the population".

A workshop on the prevention of violence against women and/or domestic violence, protection and assistance to victims of violence was held for members of the Municipal Interdepartmental Commission of Vani City Hall

Participants discussed the obligations of each member, that are necessary for the commission to operate effectively. They discussed the strategies that will help to manage specific cases.

It was noted that the composition should be reviewed and members added for more activity. It was also mentioned that the commission should contribute to the prevention of facts of violence and timely assistance to victims.

What is advocacy, how to determine an advocacy strategy, what tools and mechanisms should be used to make the process successful - these issues were discussed during the training held in Senaki. It was attended by active women leaders from IDP communities.

Using practical examples and exercises, participants interactively analyzed factors that promote and hinder advocacy. Using SWOT analysis, the strengths and weaknesses of the advocacy team were identified. In the last part of the training, participants identified problems and developed an advocacy action plan.

According to the participants, the skills acquired during the training will help them to successfully carry out the advocacy process.

The work is carried out in partnership with the Center “Abkhazeti” within the framework of the project “Support of the conflict transformation in the South Caucasus and Moldova”.

Against the background of active interaction, a training was held in Zugdidi with participation of women IDPs and heads of the homeowners’ associations of the Baramia and Lagidze streets.

Participants learned the essence of evidence-based advocacy and analyzed the process, how to identify a problem and how to solve it. Using a SWOT analysis, they assessed their own resources, strengths and weaknesses, and discussed expected risks.

The training participants selected specific problems and drew up action plans.
