In connection with the International Day of Peace, on the initiative of the Fund "Sukhumi", the day of Georgian-Abkhazian and Ossetian cuisine was celebrated in the border village Khurcha. Such event helps to settle the conflict and warm the relations. The informal environment showed that we have a lot in common from a culinary point of view. It is important to preserve the traditions specific to each corner. The event was held within the framework of the strategy developed by the Fund "Sukhumi". Members of Koki women and youth initiative group took an active part in the event. Both local and IDP community representatives were invited.
The members of women and youth initiative group of the village Didinedzi - Zugdidi municipality held a meeting in a different format in connection with the International Day of Peace. Based on the peace strategy, an exhibition of paintings made by young people was held. Banners were prepared with messages on relevant topic. It was noted that similar initiatives contribute to the regulation of peace processes and the restoration of relations.
On September 12, the day of Georgian-Abkhazian and Ossetian cuisine day was celebrated in Khoni municipality within the framework of joint initiatives of women and youth initiative groups. The event was held within the framework of the International Day of Peace and its aim is to promote the establishment of peaceful relations in frames of public diplomacy. The participants presented the dishes, described the ingredients and finally tasted them. In parallel of the event, the members of the youth group read patriotic poems, an exhibition of thematic paintings and photos was organized. A member of the women's group introduced her poems to the public. The members of Khoni youth club attended a training on the topic "Mediation as a Ritual of Reconciliation". The participants received information about mediation, different types of mediation and the importance of mediation. Practical exercises were held on conflict management and process mediation. The meeting was hosted by Khoni Public School No 3.
Women Fund Sukhumi is pleased to introduce the research report "Dimensions of Human Security: Enhancing Safety and Well-Being in Georgia’s Communities." This research aimed to assess the level of human security across six municipalities in Georgia: Zugdidi, Tsalenjikha, Senaki, Kutaisi, Tskaltubo and Khoni. Engaging a diverse range of participants, the study examines various dimensions of security-including economic, public, food, personal, health, and environmental aspects-offering insights into the unique challenges faced by different community groups.
The main finding of the study is that the overall sense of security across different categories and dimensions in the municipalities is at a middle point, with most participants rating their sense of security at level 3 on a 5-point scale, indicating moderate perceptions of safety and well-being. The report presents recommendations for addressing these challenges and improving overall community well-being and safety.

The event was diverse and interesting. Against the background of informal interaction, while tasting the dishes, the participants recalled positive stories and common traditional elements from Georgian-Abkhazian relations. The group members also talked about the history and composition of the dishes. The event proved once again that Georgians, Abkhazians and Ossetians had common kitchen, along with everything else. The meeting was attended by members of the women initiative group, young people, IDP women and civil activists. The event, which was held within the framework of the peace strategy developed by the Fund "Sukhumi", aims at restoring trust between the Georgian-Abkhazian-Ossetian society.
The women initiative group of the village Pakhulani - Tsalenjikha municipality held a meeting in connection with the International Day of Peace. At the request of the beneficiaries, the guest, Tamar Pachulia, a lawyer of the Fund "Sukhumi", answered their questions. The members of the group received consultations regarding the acquisition of land ownership; They discussed the topic of stopping the school construction process; They received information on how the population can participate in the process of solving the problems that concern them the most in frames of Law.
A working meeting with members of the project initiative group (IDP women and girls living in the building of the former Kutaisi Technical College and Clinical Hospital) was held in the office of the Fund “Sukhumi”.
The meeting participants spoke about the process of advocacy of problems, impact and changes, finished and unfinished work. They identified new problems that they plan to solve within the framework of the project.

An informational meeting on the topic of civil war was held in the IDP settlement on 58 Chavachavadze Street.
Women and girls who participated in the meeting discussed the identified problems related to the failure of the drainage system of the sports ground. Also, children's entertainment equipment is depreciated, which poses a threat to children's games.
Women are active and try to create a safe environment in their village through advocacy, using forms of civic engagement.

In the framework of the project “IDP Women and Girls – Participants of the Needs Based Local Policy Development of in Kutaisi”, information meetings on forms of civic engagement in IDP communities continue.
Project participant Ekaterine Silagadze shared the gained knowledge with IDPs living in a house on 21 Zakariadze Street.
The main problem of the settlement is the damaged façade. The need to install benches was also emphasized. In order to solve the problems, the initiative group will prepare a letter and contact the relevant local government services for response.

The main problems in the IDP community are: a malfunctioning drainage system, a flooded basement, and a damaged facade.
The initiative group has prepared a letter that will be sent to the relevant departments. After the response, it is necessary to solve the problems that threaten the health of the population.
