Fund "Sukhumi" decided to study public opinion regarding the concept of "peace". The work began on December 14, and the video collage was recorded in a week.

59 respondents were chosen - people of different ages and professions. Everyone was asked one question: What is peace?

The answers are different, but their essence is similar to each other: peace is condition when there is no war. Peace is a safe environment, it is love, friendship, harmony...

In short, there were many interesting answers. Each record was separately posted on the Facebook page, and at the end a social clip was made.

The main thing is that peace is a rather actual issue for the people...

The action was held in frames of the activities of the Coalition "Woman and peace". The Coalition included 10 women NGOs from 4 regions of Western Georgia (Imereti, Samegrelo, Guria, Ajaria).

The tradition of celebrating the 8th of March is related to the "empty boiler mars", which was held in New York in 1857 by workers in sewing factories. Their main requirements were: reduction of working days, equal conditions of remuneration with men and voting rights.

1975 was announced as Women's International Year by UN and March 8 - International Day of Women Solidarity.

Fund "Sukhumi" held a action on Women's Solidarity Day. The information on the banners confirms that women's rights are violated and many things should be done by the state and society.
