This unusual lesson was held in the International Day of Peace in Poti, school №21 of the Abkhazian Autonomous Republic.
The Promoter - Women Support Centre of Poti, which annually celebrates this day by different activities.
The international campaign of “!6 active days against gender violence” was held in Poti. It was attended by the activists of the Women Support Center and members of the youth club. On of their main slogans was: “Healthy Life-Style – for non-violence environment”.
Women Support Center and Youth Club plan to conduct other activities in frames of campaign.
Youth Sakrebulo of Ozurgeti organized an action “Together – Against Violence” on central square of the city.
As the chairperson of the youth Sakrebulo claimed, the action is a protest against terroristic acts, that is often for the last period. The action was joined by the member of parliament – Zviad Kvachantiradze, Governeor of Guria – Gia Salukvadze, Mayor of Ozurgeti – Beglar Sioridze, representatives of state structures, NGO and media. It is very important the support for youth initiatives for the youth, which they feel from the side of governmental structures.
Organizer of the action – women support center of Kutaisi annually celebrates international day of peace. This year the mobilizer of the center decided to celebrate this day together with the pupils of seventh grade of school No29.
The pupilsa decorated the ball, wrote peace messages, the main of them sounds like: “We want peace”.
Fund "Sukhumi" with the charitable fond "Karitas" carries out joint actions for women beneficiaries of the support centers.
This time 5 families received clothing, food and hygiene packages. In Senaki gifts were handed over to representatives of the three families, and in Khoni – to two large families - with 5 and 9 children.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the action.
The silent actions of the fund “Sukhumi” against gender violence in 8 cities of Western Georgia was joined by the members of the club of women voters of Khobi.the action was held in front of the building of the house of youth.
“Woman has a right for happiness!”, “Violence is a devil!”, “Stop violence against women!” – these were the main slogans of the action.
