Ordinary meeting of Senaki GAC was held in conference-hall of Senaki Sakrebulo. GAC members familiarized with research analysis of local gender needs, discussed recommendations to the local budget of 2017, elaborated as a results of analysis.

Chairperson of the GAC – Nana Alania made a small report on current project, in frames of which it was successfully completed series of workshops on the issue of gender and domestic violence with different categories of rural population: youth, pupils, teachers of schools and kindergartens, doctors. Totally 56 workshops were held covering 600 persons.

There was held a discussion of one more project of the GAC, implementation of which is planned  from July and the main target group will be teachers of rural kindergartens and parents of pupils. Project will promote to formation of non-violent society through establishing gender education in kindergartens of Senaki Municipality.

On February 15 a meeting was held in one of Kutaisi collective centers, where the participants were given information regarding a law on IDPs. The meeting summarized all problems, related to IDPs. For solution of the problems of one woman, who is sick and cannot move independently, a statement was prepared and sent to the Ministry of refugees and accommodation.

In frames of the project “Mobilization of the communities for the prevention of domestic violence” there was held meeting with representative of khoni Sakrebulo – Valeri yui96htadze and his assistant Ketevan Kupatadze. They familiarized with the action plan. As a result there were changes in the project – the work will be held in the villages Nakhakhulevi and Matkhoji instead of the villages Ivandidi and Kutiri.

Aim: Familiarizing with the experience of Israel women organizations on how to change reality, that accompanies conflict: hatred, violence and hostility and create an alternative to admitting hope for peace in the region.
Meeting with Israel women – activists, who joined in women movements for peace and conflict prevention: Asa Istoshina, Ester Rappoport and Lana Ziberman.
The meeting discussed issues of violence, feeling of insecurity, fear of renewed hostilities and terrorist attacks, but at the same time, the willingness of women to exert all efforts to stop occupation and the establish of sustainable peace.
Members of the Georgian-Abkhazian groups in Haifa the former residents of Abkhazia and it was possible to see the problem through their eyes.
The meeting is useful by learning experiences - approaches, methods and motivation of Israel women to unite civil society for the peaceful future of the country.

Ozurgeti Historical Museum hosted an informational meeting, which participants got acquainted with the work of the Fund "Sukhumi" in Ozurgeti, Implemented by Gender Advisory Council and the Club of Women Voters. They learned about the gender policy, which was approved in the new city budget and the municipality.

The first responses were made to the program for people with hepatitis "C" and cancer patients. More detailed information will be given to all interested persons through the social service.

It was planned a visit of the lawyer of Fund "Sukhumi”, which will help the museum staff in advocacy of the issue related to the rehabilitation of the building.

On March 11, one of the collective centers of Kutaisi (former kindergarten on Nicea Street) legal-consultation meeting was held.

The IDPs received living space in this center in the property after the facade was repaired and sewage system and the windows were changed.
IDPs of this collective center got different types of individual counseling from the lawyer. Their main problem is that in some places the fence is open, the cattle spoils planted trees and flowers.

At the request of the participants written statement was prepared to the City Hall in order to allocate them the sum or materials for fencing the yard.

The fund "Sukhumi" gathered Kutaisi Women's Initiative Group, which analyzed the advocacy process taking into account the inclusive approaches to human security.

Based on the work plan, the group is working on a new problem to protect cultural security. The advocacy process has already begun. The participants developed official letters and sent them to different structures. They identified those people who would support, and also talked about the risks that could arise during work.

On My 11, the 16-th meeting of Kutaisi Gender Advisory Council was held. The participants discussed the problems and prospects, connected with co-financing of the project “Gender education in pre-school premises”, submitted by the GAC to the City Hall. The meeting was attended by the representatives of Kutasisi pre-school unity. Paata Kldiashvili (head of the department for economical development and local possession) mentioned that the project was co-financed by Kutasisi pre-school unity, which will be signed by joint agreement.
GAC also worked on how to effectively conduct sociological research “gender needs evaluation in the context of local development”.
After familiarizing with research methodology, the council members disseminated functions and agreed organizational issues.

Protest to violence towards the women was expressed by the staff of Kutaisi Sakrebulo Apparatus. The campaign was joined by representatives of administrative service of Kutaisi City Hall and sport unity.
Participants of the "Camp of teenagers" on their own initiative, conducted informational meetings in schools №3, 5 and 27.
In the research center "Mermisi" and in school №5 of Abkhazian Autonomous Republic (Kutaisi), there were held informational meetings and discussions on the topic of violence.
These activities were organized by members of the Kutaisi Gender Advisory Council (GAC).

-Two projects in cooperation with the local government, participation in trainings regarding different issues, informing the society through radio and TV programs, research of gender needs and elaboration of recommendations envisaging the research results, representing gender policy for establishing gender components in local budget and the support from local government – Kutaisi Gender Advisory Council summarized the activities for 2015.

The meeting, held in a format of round table was attended by the members of Sakrebulo, representatives of different services of the City Hall and NGOs.

There was also conversation about problems, gaps, plans for the future.
