On May 19 Members of Kutaisi Club of Voter Women, together with the head of the Kutaisi branch of Georgian Young Lawyers Association, talked about issues related to constitutional changes and based on their proposals, developed recommendations.

The meeting participants also worked on the strengths and weaknesses of the club, about the opportunities and challenges.

A secretary and members of the Gender Equality Council at Sakrebulo of Batumi were invited to the meeting of the Club of Women-Voters. They invited the Club members to take an active part in the events organized by them. A joint work strategy was outlined.

Part of the meeting was devoted to the work on the preparation of the final conference, which will be held at the end of the month in Kutaisi, with the participation of representatives of all the Clubs of Women-Voters.

Members of the Gender Equality Council of Sakrebulo of Batumi Municipality were invited to the next meeting of Batumi Club of Voter Women. They familiarized the members of the Club with the action plan, talked about the planned activities, in which the members of the Club were asked to join.

Two women who were victims of violence were consulted at the meeting. They were redirected to the relevant structures.

It was also said that the issue advocated by the club is already been resolved - in the budget of 2017 local government allocated the amount to build a kindergarten in the village of Benze.

Ethical norms and formation of personal culture, as instrument of violence prevention – these interesting issues were discussed by the members of the youth club in Khoni, School No3 and Senaki, school No4 and also in the WSC of Kutaisi.

The topic caused interest. Live examples gave the young people sence of openness and they actively involved in the discussions. They mentioned:

“discussion of similar topics positively effects on our consciousness and relation towards different issues”.

“I like protection of ethic norms, which is connected with prevention of violence”.

“interesting and close connection between ethics and violence and it is good, that we saw it”.

Perception of tolerance among teenagers - for the prevention of violence - this was the theme of an information meeting of the Youth Club of Poti. During the meetings in Women's Support Centres of Tskhaltubo and Khoni, young people discussed gender-based, reasons and mechanisms of protection.

Interesting group, the activity of participants, examples from their own lives, frank discussions - this is different in each meeting. Participants noted that such meetings are important, as it contributes to a healthy attitude to current issues.

Formation of ethic norms and personal culture, as instrument of violence prevention – meetings of the youth clubs on these issues were held in the WSCs of khoni and Khurcha/koki.

There was an interesting inter-active. Conversation about ethics and esthetics. One of the participants said: “I would never take the topic of violence, but in the process of violence prevention it is seen how important is culture and ethics”.

In the of WSCs of Poti there was held a meeting on: “domestic violence, reasons, negative results and negative mechanisms”.

The young people remembered lots of examples, spoke about reasons of violence and preventive measures, which are very important for the society.

In Women Support Centers there was held a meeting of the youth club in Senaki on: “Formation of ethic norms and inner culture of a person as an instrument of violence prevention”.

The group was immediately involved in the work and familiarized with the issues discussed.

Conducted informational meetings in Tskaltubo, collective center “Medea” and in WSC of Kutaisi were devoted to the topic “Domestic violence and mechanisms of prevention”. Meeting participants gave examples, spoke about the reasons of violence and the ways out.

Through discussion of similar issues the young people get use to the conversation, culture.

Another 3 meeting of youth clubs regarding ethics, aesthetics, sexual education and early marriage was conducted, this time in Senaki school №7 and Women's Support Centre of Poti and Kutaisi.
These topics were actual for the participants. Therefore, there were held active, frank discussions. Young people made interesting parallels with life examples.
The meetings became the beginning of the interest from the side of participants. The main result is that they have the desire, to seek further information on these matters, and then conducte informational meetings for peers.

At the ordinary meeting of the Club of Women-Voters in Senaki there was a discussion of the events organized in the framework of the 16-day campaign against violence towards the women, and again fixed their uncompromising attitude to violence.

Club members also received information on social programs, which will be included in the local budget in 2017. As it was noted by the moderator of the Club, issues of health and social protection of population are main priorities of programs of the municipality's budget. The local government will continue to ensure vulnerable groups (socially unprotected families, people with disabilities, the elderly, etc.) with a variety of services and benefits.

During the ordinary meeting of the club of women voters of Senaki, there was held a discussion of the results of 2016 parliament elections. It was mentioned that there were not represented women candidates during elections. As for the activity of the voters, here the percentage rate is above 52.09% (12 177 women) and 47.91% of men (11 200).

In frames of charity action of the fund “Sukhumi” and fund “Caritas”, the gifts were given to one vulnerable family in Senaki - hygiene products, children's toys, food and clothes. Family members expressed gratitude for the support.
