Club of Voter Women of Khobi discussed social problems

  

The meeting of the Club of Voter Women was held in the conference - hall of Gamgeoba of Khobi Municipality. Members of the Club discussed many social problems, both on a regional scale and the state as a whole. In the course of the active discussion, issues such as: the need to develop small business and support the family business in rural areas, promote greater access of the rural population to state programs to support small businesses, etc. were touched upon. The recommendations developed during the discussion will be submitted to political parties.

Issues for advocacy - at the Ozurgeti Club of Voter Women

 

The ordinary meeting of Ozurgeti Club of Voter Women discussed the recommendations for political parties and also gave them final form, so that they, in their programs, could envisage the needs of women and the issues necessary for their activation.

At previous meetings, issues related to infrastructure were identified, so a competent person was invited to the meeting, who listened to the issues raised, and talked about ways of responding to them.

Activities of Tskhaltubo Club of Voter Women

  

At a regular meeting of Tskhaltub Club of Voter Women, there was a conversation about the issues allocated for advocacy. Attention was paid to unresolved problems. Several groups have been created that will work to advocate specific problems. At the meeting, the final version of the recommendations was developed, which should be submitted to political parties for inclusion in their programs.

In April the Club of Voter Women organized a trip of teachers and students to Gelati Monastery. On April 21, on the Earth Day, members of the Club conducted a cleaning action and planted seedlings. Young people were actively involved in the action.

At the regular meeting of the Kutaisi Club of Voter Women

  

In connection with the forthcoming elections to the local self-government, the regular meeting of the Kutaisi Club of Voter Women was attended by Marina Shalamberidze, member of the Central Election Commission, Gogi Tsulaia, chairman of the political party “Free Georgia”, and Nino Dolidze, an activist of the party.

Marina Shalamberidze spoke about issues of interest to women - precinct election commissions and their work, how an individual can register - an ordinary citizen and stand for election independently.

Mr. Tsulaia appealed to women, to become party members, to be more active and to take part in elections of local self-government.

Discussion of the topic of advocacy in Youth clubs

  

At the information meetings of the Youth Clubs, the topic of advocacy was discussed.

The students from the Mendji school (Senak Municipality) expressed great interest in the matter. A meeting was held in the Youth Club of Kutaisi.

A volunteer of fund “Sukhumi”, an expert from Austria Gundi Dick attended the meeting in Tskhaltub School No. 1 named after Otía Ioseliani.

The meeting participants had many questions, they gave personal examples. Young people talked about the problems that they are going to advocate. They received advice on how to define the problem, how to create working groups, how to lead the advocacy process, so that it could be successfully completed.
