At a meeting of the Club of Women Voters of Tskhaltubo question was raised of whitewashing trees near schools in Tskhaltubo municipality. This is necessary for the students' safety. At the meeting there was invited a coordinator, who got acquainted with the situation and promised the members of the club to respond as soon as possible.

At the initiative of the Club moderator, in the curriculum of the school №1 there was implemented a pilot training according to the guide of Professor Ramaz Surmanidze "Fundamentals of the age-sex education of children and adolescents" (the book was published last year with the support of Fund "Sukhumi").

The meeting scheduled a work with political parties, discussed the purpose of signing the memorandum with them.

The project is implemented with the support  of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia 

Youth clubs were held with participation of the pupils of schools No3 – Tskaltubo, No7, Poti, also village Ivandidi (Khurcha municipality.)

During the informational meetings there was conversation about ethic norms and inner culture, which is very important for the prevention of violence.

Young people actively involved in the discusiions, expressed their positions. As it was noted, similar meetings are productive as its format differs from the lessons. Free space creatres a culture of discussion among the youth, also progressive thinking and promotes to establish harmonic relationship.

Ordinary meeting of the club of women voters of Khobi was devoted to discussion of social programs, which were drafted in the local budget of 2017. Detailed information about programs was presented by the main specialist of Gamgeoba for social issues – Tsinara Jobava.

It was mentioned that majority of beneficiaries of the local programs are women – 90%.

Social programs include financial assistance for mothers with many children, single mothers, orphans, financial assistance for the third third or more children, etc. Club members noted that it would be appropriate to support pregnant women, as the timely visit to the doctor gives birth of a healthy generation.

And the most important innovation - the local budget this year for the first time allocated a certain amount of one-time assistance for victims of domestic violence.

At the ordinary meeting of the Club of Women-Voters in Senaki there was a discussion of the events organized in the framework of the 16-day campaign against violence towards the women, and again fixed their uncompromising attitude to violence.

Club members also received information on social programs, which will be included in the local budget in 2017. As it was noted by the moderator of the Club, issues of health and social protection of population are main priorities of programs of the municipality's budget. The local government will continue to ensure vulnerable groups (socially unprotected families, people with disabilities, the elderly, etc.) with a variety of services and benefits.
