On April 4-7, a training on: “Integrated approaches to the formation of the local budget: gender, social, program and civil budgeting” was held in Borjomi.
The training was attended by representatives of local self-government of 10 municipalities of Western Georgia (Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Senaki, Zugdidi, Poti, Ozurgeti, Lanchkhuti, Terjola, Tsalenjikha).
The following topics were discussed at the training: prevention of domestic violence - the concept of family strengthening, cooperation and coordination of subjects of referral mechanisms, the essence of gender mainstreaming and importance in local government policies and programs, gender analysis of municipal programs, forms of citizen participation, practice of civil budgeting and gender budget.
According to the participants, the training created an excellent space for the exchange of positive experience and dialogue on existing challenges.
