On the initiative of the GACs of Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Senaki, Poti and Koki
(Zugdidi Municipality) there were held the actions “Love without violence”.

With these actions the GACs of the fund “Sukhumi” joined the international campaign “Billion rebels against violence”!

The action against gender violence was joined by Ozurgeti Gender Advisory Council and the Club of Women Voters. They organized peaceful action in front of the City Hall, which was joined by the representatives of local self-government, young people. The Mayor of the city expressed readiness of the government in prevention of the problem.

The action was aired by the local TV.

Originally, young people joined the international campaign of "16 days against violence against women" with bicycles. On Khurcha-Koki bike race participated boys and girls from Khurcha, Koki, Orsantiya (Zugdidi Municipality) and Nayui96evi (Gali Municipality). So they expressed protest against gender violence.

Participants were handed over certificates, and the two winners in the competition of slogans were given symbolic prizes and diplomas.

The event was held in frames of the Women's Support Center Small Project in Khurcha / Koki "Youth Against Violence".

The annual international informational campaign "16 active days against violence towards the women" Started.

In recent years, the campaign is carried out with the slogan "From peace in the home - to peace in the world."

This year fund "Sukhumi" has a face of campaign - the winner of Georgia Super League 2015-2016 - basketball club "Kutaisi - 2010". Hundreds of leaflets, calendars were printed.

Fund "Sukhumi" - 6 Women's Support Centers, 8 Club of Women-Voters, 3 Gender Advisory Councils, 6 youth clubs, forum-theater – will conduct hundreds of events in towns and villages of West Georgia in frames of 16 day campaign.
