On November 15, a meeting with civil society was held in the village Lia (Tsalenjikha municipality). The meeting was attended by directors and teachers of schools ofthe villages Chkhoushi, Pakhulani, as well as by women activists. Representatives of the Fund "Sukhumi" familiarized the audience with the Resolution 1325 of the UN Security Council and the National Action Plan for 2018-2020. The purpose of the working meeting was to identify local problems related to border villages and the ways of solution for inclusion in the action plan of gender equality and local municipal programs.
The meeting was held in frames of the project “Strengthening the capacity of regional and local administrations in processes of localization of the National Action Plan 1325 The UN Security Council and activation of dialogue and the participation of women, including the most marginalized ones, in these processes”.
The project is implemented by the Coalition Union - the Association of Women IDPs “Consent” (Tbilisi), the Women's Information Center (Tbilisi) and the Culture and Humanitarian Fund “Sukhumi” (Kutaisi).
