On March 17, the lawyer of the fund “Sukhumi” met the population of Senaki, residing on Poti Street. The meeting was participated by 12 citizens (IDPs among them).
They gained information on: “participation of the citizens in implementation of local self-government, publicity of the municipal bodies, discussion and approval of the project of Municipal budget”.
Main problem of the IDPs is resettlement. For 23 years they live with the relatives, but the owner demands leaving the house. The iDPs did not know whom to address. The lawyer explained them about application form, about rating score and other issues.
Individual consultations were also held.
The project is implemented with the support
of the UN Women’s Fund for Gender Equality
