Trainings during holidays

Despite the school holidays, the training course continues at the Youth Empowerment Centers.

5 trainings were held - with Terjola, Samtredia, Zugdidi, Tsalenjikha and Khobi groups. Young people openly spoke about the results of the course and the changes they feel and see. They started preparations for the final meetings where they will present their presentations. It is important that the participants of the training actively participate in various youth events held in the municipalities. This is also one of the results of our work.

Last month the forum-theater met with the prisoners of penitentiary N14 in Geguti. Everyone liked this visit very much, and the young actors were invited to the Kutaisi penitentiary N2. They showed 4 performances here. It was quite an impressive spectacle, and after each performance, an active discussion took place with the participation of the audience ... Forum Theater gained new experience by working with an unusual audience.

The second month of the training course at the Youth Empowerment Centers continues successfully. The first meetings were held in Samtredia, Terjola, Senaki, Tsalenjikha and Zugdidi municipalities.

The trainings were attended by teachers, representatives of the youth services. And, of course, the main thing is active youth, who not only join the training with interest, but also carry out the initiated events in their schools with responsibility. It is gratifying that the support of the school administration and the teachers of civic education is felt everywhere.

Forum-theater has moved to a new stage of work. The team has been updated. New scenes were staged, where all the actors play the main roles.

The last two performances of the Forum Theater were special. One of them was held in the yard of the Women Fund "Sukhumi" in front of representatives of the donor organization - USAID. Five scenes were played. The play of young actors was highly appreciated by the audience. As part of a USAID-funded project, the forum theater team introduces young people from different regions to the specifics of the forum theater and forms new groups.

The second show of the Forum Theater was held in Geguti Penitentiary No. 14. The convicts actively participated in the discussion. The heads of the institution, a social worker and a psychologist called the performances of the Forum Theater a relevant and important event.
