At the round table held at Fund Sukhumi office, the participants got acquainted with the research "The Georgian-Abkhazian conflict, rethinking the approaches to the conflict settlement and new vectors for its transformation."
The presentation aroused great interest. At the meeting, the importance of intensifying civilian diplomacy was noted: this is what should contribute to the resolution of the conflict. The emphasis was on the need to work with young people.

At the round table, which was held at the Women Support Center of Tskaltubo on the International Day of IDPs and Refugees, representatives of local government and social welfare agencies acquainted the participants with municipal social programs. Informed IDPs use the state support for their own needs.
On the International Day of IDPs and Refugees, a deputy head of the administration of the municipality, together with representatives of the social services and health services, attended a round table in the village of Koki (Zugdidi Municipality) and introduced IDP programs to the local authorities. It was noted that the programs are oriented to the interests of the population. In the near future, an innovative project "Mobile Care Group for Elderly People" will begin.
Participants of the meeting addressed the representatives of local self-government with questions and received exhaustive answers.
The Fund "Sukhumi" organized a round table of the Women's Initiative Group in the central library of Khoni on: "Inclusive approaches to human security: the work of Women's Initiative Groups, cooperation with local authorities".
The meeting was attended by representatives of local government and local communities, journalists, activists.
Participants listened to information on inclusive approaches to human security on the challenges of how women's initiative groups work, how advocacy of problems is taking place.
In the course of the discussion, certain recommendations were developed. It is generally agreed that in order to increase the level of human security, it is necessary to activate society, cooperate with local authorities and advocate those problems that can be solved at the local level.
The stigma of those infected with Covid-19 is a new form of violence. Such people are next to us, and many of them are forced to live in difficult conditions.
The Tbilisi representation of the Fund "Sukhumi" prepared a video clip regarding this problem (within the framework of the campaign "16 active days against violence towards the women").
In the video clip presents the monologues of women who have defeated the virus, and their calls: “Let's get rid of stigma! Let's show compassion and support!
In frames of the 16-day global campaign, the Tbilisi representative office of the Fund "Sukhumi" prepared a video clip, which reflects the attitude of society to the problem of violence against women. The real story, of a victim of violence, taken from the publication/monitoring report of the Fund "Sukhumi" - „Impact of COVID-19 on Domestic Violence, Situation of Women Victims and the Access to the Support Services“ was announced here.
According to the respondents, a woman has the right to live without violence and be happy.
The press-briefing was held on November 25 – on the first day of the 16-day campaign. Journalists from different municipalities participated in it. They got acquainted with the 20-year experience of the Fund "Sukhumi" in the campaign, the activities carried out, the publications related to issues of violence against women / domestic violence... The media representatives expressed interest and noted that they will actively involve in the campaign.
