In frames of the project “Prevention of violence through popularization of healthy life style”, Poti WSC conducted sport activity with the slogan “Healthy life style – against violence”.
The first day was devoted to competitions with participation of persons with disabilities in checkers, backgammon and chess.
On June 11 there were held competitions in volley ball and fight.
Activities were held with support of the City Hall for the youth and sport. There were invited young people – local and IDPs, representatives of City Hall of Poti.
All participants were given uniforms and the winners – diplomas.

The Tskhaltubo Women Initiative Group summed up the work for six months. During the reporting period, the group was able to advocate 5 problems. In parallel, work is under way to solve long-term problems.
Members of the group regularly hold meetings in different local communities. On the ground, the problem is identified. The advocacy process is carried out with the involvement of various structures of local government.
The women initiative group is focused on finding additional finances. Inclusion of new donors and work on new projects will make the advocacy process more effective.
A round table meeting was held in the meeting room of Senaki Municipality Council where was summarized the GAC’s activity for 2015.
Members of the Council presented brief reports and assessed activities carried out within the framework of the project. There were emphasized programs and projects initiated by the GAC and realized in 2015. Attendees discussed new ideas and plans on expanding and strengthening the GAC’s activity in 2016.
The round table meeting was attended by the chairperson and the deputy chairperson of Senaki Municipality Council, deputies, representatives of Municipality Governance.


Ozurgeti Gender Advisory Council held round table, the aim of which was summarizing the activities for the past year. The meeting was attended by representative of bothe Sakrebulos, deputy of the governor, deputies.
The meeting underlined that the GAC is connecting circle between local population and self-government.
Coming out of the fact that joint work contributed to lots of useful work, the GAC was given a suggestion from the side of Guria, to promote to creation of the GAC in a whole Guria region.
On December 9 the fund “Sukhumi” organized round table in conference hall of Kutaisi University on: “Cooperation between NGO sector and local government in the issues of domestic violence prevention and protection of victim”.
The event was attended by representatives of local self-government of 9 municipalities of Western Georgia – Kutaiai, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Senaki, Poti, Zugdidi, Khobi, Ozurgeti, Batumi. Representatives of partner organizations, media, members of GACs of Kutaisi, Senaki, Ozurgeti, Batumi. They spoke about the experience in their municipalities in the field of victim protection, also about law protective aspects. During the discussion there were given recommendations, that it is necessary to continue collaboration between NGO sector and local self-government in order to reach effective results in violence prevention.
The round table was final activity of the fund “Sukhumi” in frames of the campaign of “16 active days against gender violence”.
