The Fund “Sukhumi” actively collects information in the framework of monitoring the implementation of the Georgian law on the elimination of domestic violence, protection and assistance to victims of domestic violence. In October, focus groups were held with doctors and mobilizers of Women's Support Centers, as well as in-depth interviews with a member of the victim status group and with the head of Kutaisi Legal Aid Center. At the meetings, emphasis was made on changes in the law, on its positive and negative sides.

December 3 – international day for the people with disabilities. This day was celebrated in WSC od Kutaisi and Tskaltubi
First day of the meeting was held  in Kutaisi day center “Valentine” and the second one in Children’s inclusive center on the center in Tskaltuno.
The attendants received information regarding 16 active days against violence towards the women and also the answers to the questions.

In frames of the project “Synergy – strengthening of IDPs by participation and collaboration” informational meetings were held by the activist of the fund “Sukhumi”, graduator of the young leaders’ school – Asmat Dvalishvili.
She was nominated in local self-government elections 2014, in Kutaisi. In spite of the fact that she did not win, she gained seriou8s experience and will continue working in this direction for next elections.

Asmat Dvalishvili conducted in formational meetings on gender issues in Public schools No17 and No 40 of Kutaisi and School No 6 of Abkhazian Autonomous Republic, named after Jiuli Shartava. The meetings were attended by parents, teachers and pupils. Meeting in Senaki Military Settlement with the wives of officers was devoted to the Mother’s Day.
  
Mobilizers of WSCs conducted 33 mobilization meetings in municipalities of Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Senaki, Poti and Zugdidi – in collective centers and villages. Along with other issues, the meetings discussed problems of women and girls residing in the villages.
In October, WSCs organized 6 informational  with representatives of local elf-government of Kutaisi, Khoni, Tskaltubo, Senaki, Poti and Zugdidi mainly in social services as well as in the City Hall.

Chairperson of the fund “Sukhumi” – Alla Gamakharia met the mayor of Kutaisi – Shota Murgulia.
Gender policy on the local level, violence against women, social issues – the conversation regarding these questions lasted for an hour.
- We all work for living better, to promote formation of such society, which will have equality, right of choice, without violence against women – was mentioned during the meeting.
The Mayor mentioned that he will support establishment of gender policy on the local level. According to him, it is necessary to have joint projects, activities, educational programs, for giving the society correct information regarding gender equality. The meeting defined prospects of future cooperation with local governmental structures.

In collective center of Kutaisi clinical hospital, there was held a meeting with the IDPs.

They live rehabilitated building, but the accommodation space is not in their possession yet and they are scared.

Representatives of the fund “Sukhumi” (assistant and lawyer of the project) helped the IDPs to write the letter to the Minister of IDPs and Resettlement. After collecting signatures the letter will be sent to the agency, and thus the issue will be advocated.

In Kutaisi Training Center of Tbilisi State University, within the framework of the project "Studying the experience of the Visegrad to advocate for equal, inclusive and democratic governance at the local level", a meeting was held with young people. At the meeting, interesting discussions took place on issues of gender policy, civic engagement. There were obvious positions on various issues - how young people see the way of life and prospects for the well-being of citizens of their own city, especially for young people. How much they are ready to take part in the implementation of changes - necessary in their opinion,.

Mobilizres of WSCs met the representatives of local self-government in Sakrebulo, Gamgeoba and City Hall.

During the meeting representatives of local self-government learned about free services of the fund “Sukhumi” and the mobilizers got acquainted with the programs, existing on the places and innovations in the social plan.

Afterwards these information are spread on mobilization and informational – consultative meetings, in order to give the women and their families possibility to these programs in case of need.

A meeting with representatives of local self-government of Imereti region, local and international NGOs was organized by Fund “Sukhumi” in the meeting room of Kutaisi Province to share its experiences. The conversation was about the projects implemented by Fund “Sukhumi” together with the Czech organization People in Need, other local and international NGOs and local municipalities, and the importance of cooperation between the two sectors for well-being of citizens.

Participants of the meeting discussed the role and functions of a new institutional mechanism that was legitimated in municipalities since 2016 – Gender Equality Councils. Attendees expressed hope that the Councils will become a flexible mechanism and a good resource focused on needs of citizens for more effective local governance. The meeting was organized within the framework of the project “Learning from Visegrad 4 Experience to Advocate for Equal, Inclusive and Democratic Local Governance”.                      “.

Most of the recommendations of the Gender Advisory Council will be reflected in the new budget of the of Kutaisi, advisor on Gender Issues in local government is already appointed - journalists learned about it and other innovations in Fund "Sukhumi".
The representatives of Kutaisi media noted that as a result of cooperation with the Fund, in their stories and publications there appear more gender issues, actual problems, stories of successful women. They shared their experience in this regard.
